Eating dogs ,how cruel,

Featured Replies

As many of you know I do plan on visiting Vietnam next year

However I was in tears 😭last night when a work colleague Informed me  "they eat dogs there George !

I immediately called him a liar and told him to stay away from me

When I got home late last night I looked at videos on YouTube and he was right and apparently it's the same with Cambodia !

Watching these videos of these poor defenceless creatures as they are stacked in with barely enough room squashed in  a cage crying is so cruel , ready to be slaughtered by being smashed over the head  with a hammer

i need to put a stop to this cruelty

Is Vietnam and Cambodia the only countries to EAT DOGS ?

I know Thailand banned this

Yes thankyou Trippy

I'm an animal lover although I draw the line at Monkeys in Lopburi not behaving well and I believe they need some kind of discipline and order

I was slapped on the back of my head by one last March but I'm still a animal lover and hopefully will help these poor dogs

That reminds me of meeting a girl from upcountry on her first day on Bangla Road.

She was a cutie, skin as smooth as silk, long black beautiful her that went down to her bum and told me she was from a small village in Sakon Nakhon province in Issan.

I asked her if she had ever tried western food before and she said hadn’t.

So I kindly asked if she hungry and would try some knowing that the way to a Thai girls heart is through her stomach.

She said she would so I took her to a little stall selling hot dogs.

While we were waiting in the queue she looked a bit worried and then when we were finally served she looked at it and said ‘Sorry Malcolm, in my village we don’t eat that part of the dog’

I was there in March with my girlfriend and there were stalls selling dogs all around. Pretty sick practice but nothing you can do, seeing it's their country.

China and Korea maybe.

There was a large pack of stray dogs hanging out on a piece of land just off the Thepprasit road. Then one day, they all just disappeared. I doubt that they went on holiday.

Koreans eat dog, though apparently they passed a law banning it a year or two ago that’s supposed to go into effect this year or next. There was a big fuss about banning the cuisine, so it’s doubtful the dog chomping folks will give up the habit.

I had lunch at a brothel in Guangxi once.

They did, in fact, serve that part of the dog!

Chewy but creamy texture.

Was it Japan that places the live monkey under the table with just the head poking through... cut of the skull and eat the brains ?

Breaded and fried..........."crunchy"

Rottweiler or chiwawa?

Back in the day lots of dog was eaten in Bali. Satay being the most popular way to have it. I believe it was banned last year, but is still commonly found.

Nice that they put on a feed at the brothel.

The Kinaree used to do that in Pattaya before they sadly closed down.

Tragic that was.

Now when I am hungry I have to balloon chase.

No, but I girl I am seeing has a bulldog schistzu cross.

She says it might become its own district breed in the future.

Known as a Bullschit

Gee as an American you would not have been popular there with all the napalm you guys dropped, the villages burnt, the people slaughtered and all the rapes.

This reminds me of the Vegans who think killing any animal is cruel, but don't give a second thought to the animals they are killing when plowing a field for their veggies. Whole families disrupted, homes destroyed, babies crushed beneath heavy machinery.

Those animals aren't cute or friendly, so they don't care about them. It's only Bambi that strikes a note on their heartstrings.
Me? I'll eat them all. Just so long as it can't move off my plate under its own steam.
Monkey, snake, dog, rat, cat (I REALLY do NOT recommend cat!), worms, bugs (or them, although the larvae are very sweet!) I've eaten them all but still prefer a bacon cheeseburger.  (Bacon?!? Eating a pig's ass?!? OMG!)

Actually Americans are welcomed there. All the people we encountered were friendly and helpful. The Vietnam War was quite a few years ago, and only the ignorant hold grudges against any country because of the actions of some. If that were the case, I could bring up some of the horrors England did to Americans. Scots and the Irish, but again, since that's in the past when maniacs were in charge, it isn't important now.Maybe you forgot what the VC did to their own people there.

Meat is meat. Only those with biased opinions judge that a dog is more important than a chicken, a fish, or a cow?

It seems sadly some posters are treating this topic as amusement

Well it's NOT !!!

Look at the eyes of these poor darlings who are squashed into cages and crying !!

Have some heart please

Many of these dogs I heard are stolen from the owner and transported to Vietnam
