Oh come  on, the anti jewish sentiment here  is so strong its palpable , for some its just a way to spread more negativity without getting a suspension

As Peace comes to the middle east, the jew hatred from the neo national socialists reaches a crescendo of madness. Fabulous. Trump is the first Jewish President

  • Australians seem to be a bigger problem of thailand. Theres no israeli posters here posting anti west propaganda like most people here

  • I consider this entire topic yet another malicious transparent effort to insult all Jewish Israeli nationals.

  • This is really bad news. The abuses by the Israelis will mean expats will soon be unable to use such "borderline" methods like Thai nominees and agents for retirement, as the Thais will crack down on

Well if she exists and is jewish I would refer her to the concept of the Kapo.

I went in there with an Israeli business man long time ago, great food hospitality. Was around 1997, think it was the only one in Bangkok

Yeah my bro is Asian looking with a Jewish name and IM a stone cold slav, but the American passposrts got us right in.

No cheeseburgers! I hate kosher restaurants without Pastrami too, whats the point

From worldhistory.org:

"Anti-Semitism was not new and not unique to the Nazi Party. Anti-Semitism often sprang from feelings of jealousy. Generally better educated than many other identifiable groups in society, Jews were typically prosperous. In the early 1930s, "The average Jewish household income was three times that of the average Gentile family. Although there was a significant stratum of poor Jews" (Cesarini, 7). In the larger towns and cities, Jews made up an unusually high percentage of certain professions and industries. Only 2% of German Jews worked on the land, but 25% of agricultural wholesalers were Jewish. Jews owned two-thirds of retail clothing outlets, including several large and very famous department stores. In addition, "a latent anti-Semitism had long been present in a large part of the German middle class, where the view was widely held that there were too many Jewish lawyers or doctors" (Dülffer, 140).

Historians have often wondered what was the main reason for Hitlers hatred for the Jews. And this is often reflected in today's antisemitism. It is my belief as well as many, that the main reason people hate the Jews is because of jealousy. Jewish people appear to be better educated, smarter, have higher net worth, better business men and women and are basically more prosperous. Jealousy brings out the worst in people all over the world, even on this board.

Again, when I go these places I want to see the real local culture, not a Chinese, Israeli, Nigerian or other expat ghetto that's taken over local life.

Local cultures have been eroded everywhere in the world due to migration.

Some places more than others.

Govts need to take measures to at least preserve local culture in some places ... maybe UNESCO heritage sites at the very least. Like Hue and Hoi An in Vietnam need to feel like 100% Vietnamese or 95% with a couple of Starbucks at most.

But beyond UNESCO heritage sites, I'm not sure.

In Thailand, the ancient town of Si Thep is a UNESCO site, but Pai isn't.

And Thai culture is readily available in many other parts of the country, so the argument that every corner of the country needs to remain 95% Thai is debatable. Half of Pattaya is watered down Disneyland Thailand, but it brings in tourists and revenue.

I beleive it had to do, in part, with Hitlers homosexuality

It's not good or bad. I just felt like I had to cater to them or react how they needed, rather then just being myself and eating alone in silence.

Were they creeped out by you at all?

They didn't move to a table further away from you?

That's why I let my home country, because I wanted an intact culture. Among others. Very sad to see Thailand now grappling with the same issues.

That's just stupid.

There will never be enough Jews living or visiting Thailand to support you're insanely fear mongering paranoid projection.

Lol, that's indeed stupid, Chabad currently have 1,174 Chabad Houses in North America. So much for "not enough" jews.

They can easily plaster Chabad houses in ever major city in Thailand, and there is no doubt that is what they will do.

One Youtuber left Phuket because of the influx of Russians and Chinese.

I don't need to be surrounded by only Thai people.

You can move to Udon, I guess. No Russians, Chinese, Indians, or Israelis. Or very very few. You won't even notice.

That's also very sad. I remember going to Phuket when the Russian invasion started, it wasn't so bad yet, but I saw in Pattaya where this leads to. Shops in Cyrillic, and no doubt we'll see the same in Pai, except in Hebrew of course.

Well, it's about the host I think, in Bangkok the number would be far larger than in Pai.

And again, it's the same with Chinese, Russians etc. Not an Israeli or Jewish thing.

Well obviously because they've created a lot of hatred of Israel due to their land theft in Palestine and the killing of 20,000 children there. So most people dislike them intentionally, to the point some actively want to harm them.

More ignorance.

The USA is a very large country that along with Israel includes the vast majority of global Jewry.

There is no equivalence to Thailand.

You are writing absolute rubbish    Why?

Let's say you have 3000 Israelis in Pai, now or in the future.

They are opening a store for their own Israeli brethren, with Hebrew signage, Israeli products. And they're willing to pay high rent because they can afford it.

Do you think that's beneficial or harmful to the Thai way of life there?

I won't dwell on the Israelis causing assaults in hospitals or paying with fake banknotes, those are indeed exceptions, criminal elements that do not represent Israelis as a whole. However, it is these typical Israelis that are the real problem, they are trying to build an Israeli Utopia in  Pai. And it does not include Thais or anyone else. It is specifically designed for Israelis and Jews.

In Canada alone there are 51 Chabad houses.  Canada's population is substantially below Thailand's. There's only 9 Chabad houses now.

Chabad are just getting started in Thailand.

Just for the record ...... i agree with your (what seems to be a )  rather unpopular position :   too many  Israeli's ... or fill in a particular GROUP :    indians, pakistanis , russians,  even good ole white skinned europeans and americans .  (not listed in any order of disdain )

the fact is ..... I came here to get away from all kinds of groups.   Even the Thai group circling around like buzzards over the "tourist groups" .

"they took paradise,  and put up a lot of crap "

Reports of tensions have emerged on Koh Phangan and neighbouring Koh Samui in Surat Thani province, involving Israeli tourists and business operators.

Allegations include the acquisition of land through Thai nominees and the establishment of businesses catering exclusively to Israeli visitors. Some tourists have reportedly caused disturbances affecting other visitors and local operators, prompting fears of wider conflicts.

I speak facts and personal experience. I have been around Israelis for decades, in many large cities.

But not in Thailand.

How many Israelis live in your village?

They wanted want to go there.

This is a large number of Thais from the South to the North of Thailand having problems because of disgusting behavior.

Why don't you become a billionaire and buy a remote island all to yourself then if you want to avoid "all kinds of groups"?
