They will find Steven and he will ask were the other 10K is!

Queen agogo always has classy dancers.

If he left it out the front of Windmill he would have never seen it again.

And from what I have seen of Aussies if he left it anyway in Australia it would have disappeared.

Friendly people Aussies,

Friendly people Aussies,

Tell us what you've seen of Aussies. Are you inferring they're thieves? I'm guessing you meant, "If he left it anywhere in Australia it would have disappeared"? Gee, I was thinking of someday flying to Australia to fish the Great Barrier Reef. Would that mean I would be robbed of my fishing gear and wallet? As far as the OP, there are moral and honest people everywhere. It all depends on how they were raised. You know, raised not to take advantage of others.

Yes, white Australians descend from the thieves and prostitutes of the UK.

i wouldn’t leave you wallet and fishing gear around.

No, You said, "from what you've seen of Aussies". Not a rumor you heard from long ago migrants from your country. That could also mean some of your relatives from the past right? What Aussies do you know personally that are thieves?

I assume most of them are.

Just like I assume most Chinese people I know eat rice.

It is a cultural thing.

But don’t assume Fred, let’s look at the facts.

How common is theft in Australia?

The latest value from 2016 is 2460 thefts per 100,000 people, an increase from 2122 thefts per 100,000 people in 2015.
In comparison, the world average is 783 thefts per 100,000 people, based on data from 74 countries.
Historically, the average for Australia from 2003 to 2016 is 2373 thefts per 100,000 people.

So 3.5 times more than the world average.

Watch you stuff when Down Under.

You finally got it right when you said , "I assume". Most people eat rice, let alone Asians, where it's a staple for centuries. Eating rice is not comparable to saying most Aussies steal. 2373 per 100,000 is not most. It's 29,200 per 100,000 in the UK in 2024 also, so they're in the running, but I wouldn't assume most in the UK are thieves. Stealing isn't a cultural thing. And I don't assume anyway.

I don't know where you are from, but where in the world can you leave a wad of cash and not have it stolen? You'd have to be very lucky to have it returned, anywhere on planet Earth.

BTW, get your facts straight. Only 1 in 5 Australians has blood from the original convict population... and... 31.5% (Jun 2024) of the current population were born overseas.

British Airways plane lands in Sydney.

Obviously, you have never been to Japan. You can leave a wad of cash, your new iPhone, and gold wedding ring on a park bench, come back three hours later and find them untouched, and if they are NOT there, they WILL BE in the closest police box. In the 15 years that I lived there, I've witnessed this many, many times. I even left my camera bag, full of lenses and other gear,  beside a street vendor's stand, and came back a few hours later and it was right where I left it!  Not every culture raises crooks.

Yes, I have been to Japan, but only as a tourist. I had a Japanese girlfriend for a few years and spoke some Japanese too.

It was a general statement, and there might be some exceptions, given the 195 countries. I don't believe a wad of cash would be safe in Japan. It's different from a wedding ring or a bag full of camera lenses, or an iPhone, which cannot be used by anyone else. Then, of course, the wad of cash could be found by one of the 38 million tourists that visit Japan every year, who might not be so honest. There are crooks in Japan, too. A quick Google search revealed that over 40,000 are incarcerated in Japan.

Japan is very safe.

Yes, it is, as is Thailand, but we're talking about losing a wad of cash inadvertently left somewhere. That's not dying or being mugged.
