Authorities in Pattaya have raided a clinic accused of operating without proper medical licences, arresting a fake doctor and two assistants after several months of surveillance. The Crime Suppression Division (CSD) Region 2, together with the Chonburi Provincial Public Health Office (PPO), launched the operation at 14:15 on Friday, 17 October 2025. Officials said the raid followed multiple complaints about unqualified individuals providing medical treatment at a facility on Soi Chaiyapreuk 2.

The raid was ordered by Pol. Maj. Gen. Kiertisak Sarathongoi, commander of CSD Region 2, and led by Pol. Col. Thianchai Loetmaneetawet, head of Investigation Unit 1. They were joined by Jirasan Meeratthanawat, head of Consumer Protection and Public Pharmacy at the Chonburi PPO. Undercover officers posing as patients received treatment, medication and paid fees before signalling the team to move in.

Inside the three-storey shophouse complex, authorities found the clinic operating in one unit and a massage parlour in another. The facility contained a registration counter, two examination rooms and a recovery area with two beds. Several patients were waiting, and one was receiving intravenous fluids when police entered. The main caregiver, 44-year-old Pansanya Udomta, failed to produce a medical licence and was detained alongside 48-year-old assistant Worathan Inwanna, who handled patient records. Both appeared distressed during the arrest.

Investigators found that while a valid operating licence for a medical branch was displayed, the listed licence holder was not present. Officials seized patient files, medical certificates and antibiotics as evidence. The clinic owner, 52-year-old Wariya Khao Songtham, was also taken into custody. She told police she had leased the business in January 2025 and usually employed a doctor from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. She said financial losses of about 100,000 baht per month had forced staff cutbacks. In tears, she accused authorities of selective enforcement, shouting, “Why not raid the other clinics? Pattaya and Jomtien are full of them!” Officers calmed her before taking all three suspects to the Police Station.

CSD Region 2 confirmed the clinic had been raided previously in May 2025 under the same ownership but had resumed operations illegally. Investigators said the facility conducted treatments such as injections, blood tests and IV drips without licensed practitioners, posing serious health risks. Charges under the Medical Facility Establishment Act and for unlicensed medical practice are pending as police continue their investigation in coordination with the PPO.

Key Takeaways

• Police and health officials raided an unlicensed Pattaya clinic, arresting three people.

• The same clinic had previously been shut down in May 2025 but reopened illegally.

• Authorities are pursuing charges for operating without a licence and unqualified medical practice.

Quite scary. One may need to think at least once, before opening one's mouth on a thai dentist's chair in some swanky foreigner recommended clinic ?

This is really disturbing. The fact that the police knew about it for months and were watching them but doing nothing in all that time. People claiming to be doctors and a clinic giving out medications? What were the police watching and waiting for? Some foreigner to die from taking the wrong medicine?

Interesing, this should be a family resort, does not sound like it is.

It is difficult to imagine Pattaya police working for months to get sufficient evidence to make an arrest particularly when 'The same clinic had previously been shut down in May 2025'.

It is difficult to imagine Pattaya police working.

Worse yet, they were performing male enhancement procedures.

I feel inadequate as a man and considered a remedy for the problem. Watching TV with a weight dangling between my legs wasn't getting the desired results.  I've since learned to accept my inadequacy.

Your honesty is refreshing.

I went to a similar clinic where they offered me a ten inch penis. I declined. No way was I getting three inches cut off my dick!

I know, I know, it's an oldie but still a goodie.
