National Telecom e-Bill

Featured Replies

I use NT (ex ToT) as my internet provider.  I pay monthly by their e-Bill system - invoice comes via email and gets paid via my banking app.

The e-Bill arrives, typically, on the 15th/16th of each month and never later than the 17th - until now.  This month there is no sign of an e-Bill in my mail box - or SPAM box - and it is now the 18th of October.  I'm wondering if they are just late in sending them out or if mine has got lost somewhere.  Anyone else noticed the same issue?

I may try phoning the contact number (1888) once they are awake.

I  use this payment method every month . I never rely on electronic reminders or bills , better to keep track myself.

Thanks.

However, i find the e-Bill system very convenient and it has worked flawlessly now for several years.

Before there was the e-bill system I used to get their bills through the post and that was incredibly unreliable!

I'll take a look at your link anyway and see if it allows me to pay a bill that I don't actually have!

I never really get bills , as like most in Thailand the post office is virtually non existent.

OK, I tried your link and it seems to have worked.

The receipt says payment via 2c2p(Thailand) which, I think is just the payment gateway.

I'll probably still contact NT though, just to see what's going on with the e-Bills, or lack of them.

Yes, the postal service here is absolutely dreadful.  We rarely get any mail and when we do it's often weeks out of date, even for local stuff.  International post is incredibly slow - at least two weeks to get anything to the UK, even if registered, and incoming international mail is even worse, if it arrives at all!  Mind you, at least some of this delay is caused by the notorious black hole of the Langley postal centre at Heathrow so international delays are not solely down to Thailand.

If it arrives that quickly you should be thankful. Not sure why you really think it should be any quicker than that?

EMS is considerably faster but that gets rather expensive.  The way it has been explained to me is that mail sent EMS gets priority - as it should - and is loaded onto the next available flight to the destination country.  Registered mail, on the other hand, waits around until there is a full container of mail for the destination country and this wait time varies, of course.  You can get lucky - or not.

If you use a mail tracking app, that can be misleading as well.  'Package has left country of origin' actually means that it's waiting for customs clearance and is not necessarily on is way.  The same thing in reverse applies to the destination where the package, again, has to clear customs.

Anyway, I did not imply that I expect international post to be quick.  I know full well that two weeks to the UK is fairly average.  Of course, if you need a reply then the whole process will maybe take a month.  Not very convenient.  In this tech age we should be able to do better.  Some organisations do have secure email systems but a lot insist on seeing original documents - in which case you need faith that they won't get lost on the way, never to be seen again!
