Sticking with one woman keeps you disease free and keeps you out of trouble. Also cant understand anyone who wants more than one nagging wife in their face all the time. Works for muslims because men are allowed to kill their wives in that culture. Wouldnt work so well in the west

One right woman is a blessing, and should be treated as such. One wrong woman is a bane on your sanity, and should be left asap. One at a time is definitely enough and only more are needed by those either hating women, a need to use them coming from that, or to feed an ego because of poor self esteem.

I don't care how many wives (or husbands) another person has. That's their business. I began my relationship with my wife based on the fact that I wanted to be with her. I fell in love with her.  I haven't  (nor have I had) any romantic interests in other women. That's how I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life together with just her. Cross-cultural marriages are hard work at best. Adding in a third factor would only add to the work.

 

I'm not sure of the accuracy, but in one of the Asian character sets, the ideogram for 'tranquility' is the shape of a woman under a house roof. The ideogram with TWO women under the same roof represents 'chaos.'

Men are genetically programmed to indulge in polygamy. Women are genetically programmed to control this urge in their men. Difficult to enforce in Thailand. Most people find some kind of workable relationship. At 70, I don't care that much. Luxury decision. in the UK I wouldn't have the option. Just knowing it's there is enough for me, and keeps my woman under control.
