A young navy officer reportedly jumped from a fourth-floor dormitory in Sattahip, Chon Buri, claiming to escape an attempted assault by a senior officer. The incident occurred around 3 AM on October 19, leading to serious injuries for the 20-year-old, who was subsequently rushed to Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital.

The case unfolded at the Royal Thai Navy premises, where rescuers and police responded promptly. Upon arrival, the officer was found with broken limbs and appeared deeply traumatized. He alleged that a senior officer attempted an assault, kissing him forcefully in his room, prompting his drastic decision to leap from the balcony.

In response, the Sattahip Police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage with the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) to ensure that all aspects are fairly assessed. The RTN has acknowledged the gravity of the situation and is working closely to provide support and ensure a thorough inquiry.

Captain Nara Kunthotom, RTN Assistant Spokesperson, informed that while the officer's condition is stable, he requires ongoing medical supervision due to multiple fractures. The RTN has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding human rights and stated that any verified misconduct will lead to severe disciplinary measures. They emphasize a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment or abuse within the ranks.

Looking forward, the outcome of the investigation will dictate further action. The RTN has pledged transparency and accountability in resolving the situation and ensuring justice. Their commitment highlights a broader aim to maintain integrity and respect within military operations.

This is going to require a hefty 'fine'/compensation to make the case go away.

Thailand! The only place in the military where you are more likely to be killed by your own "comrades"  than an enemy combatant. Maybe some of these "recruits" need to grow a pair, put up that stiff upper lip and take it on the chin like a real ladyboy.

The officer only wanted to show the recruit the Golden Rivet

It'll be hushed up one way or another... possibly even a promotion knowing the military
