Honestly, don't know about that. Many came for the women, but stayed for other reasons.

Amusing how you go along with another also wrong. One that changes usernames like underwear and always acts the same. You're both wrong, and quite the same in character.

Who was he before?

You read the definition again and then compare it with what you claimed:

You were wrong. A Sexpat is an Expat, not a Tourist.

No, you aren't understanding the meaning.

expat (plural sexpats)

  1. (slang) An expatriate who engages in sex tourism.................This does not mean all expats. I said "most" aren't sexpats besides the tourists, which means most of the sexpats are tourists, not all. Most expats who live here are not sexpats, besides in his and your mind.

first came over on my 18 month bicycle trip thru asia ( Nepal, India, Sri Lanka) and SE asia, ( Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, australia) in 82/83
moved  HK in 84 and than on to Thailand part time and stayed since 85>
been a few years out since than but mostly here in Phuket ( came for  the beach, food & easy access to airport   & visas)

LOTS of changes but still better than anywhere else i've been to

He's been many others, and he always comes back after me because I always prove him wrong, right from the start. He was after you a few times using another alias. Calls people idiots and thinks they're not in his radar.

Sexpat, any expat that ever had sex with a local.

Sex tourist, any foreign tourists that ever had sex with a local.

So we're pretty much all one or the other.

People changing their username...that's just downright devious. Tut, tut tu...

NO, a Sexpat has to be an Expat. A tourist is a Sex Tourist. Do you think continuing to argue when you are so obviously wrong, earns you any respect?

That you see that as a word salad, or anything else I've ever said, shows you aren't up to speed on what it means. I think you just aren't good at comprehending. A sexpat is someone who comes here for sex. Expats are people who settle in other countries .Your book needs editing. I didn't say expats didn't have sex, as all others worldwide do.

I started off as a tourist, progressed into being a sex tourist, then ended up as a sexpat.

Just weird. You've been proved wrong, but yet you still try to pretend that you are right and everyone else is wrong. Pathological.

You are weird, in all your aliases. Malcolm thinks most expats are sexpats. Most aren't. His words, "100% Now a sexpat like most of us". He, and you, are wrong. .Then you come back with a definition that says "An expatriate who engages with sex tourism," which again, does not mean all expats. Simple yet it blows right by you. That you stick up for him, against me, shows how you both think, which is blatantly obvious to everyone here, and your reputation grows along with his. In all your usernames.

Another word salad from Fred.

Sexpats is a play on the word expat.

Which is short for expatriates.
Which means they are not tourists.

Steady girlfriend or married to a Thai still makes you a sexpat in my book if you have sex with the local women.

And I don’t know any expats here who do not have sex with Thais.

Unless your daughter was immaculately conceived?

While fred does not know his ass from a hole in the ground and is so deluded he won't hear otherwise, having sex with a local does not mark you as a sexpat. The term indicates someone dedicated to having paid sex with locals.

Read, and try to comprehend, the definition. Of course a sexpat is an expat. But not all expats are sexpats, nor even most, as he proclaimed. That you backed him tells more.

Anyone that disagrees with you must be in cahoots!

But you live here, and have had sex with at least two local ladies, making you a sexpat.

In Thailand I'd call that just plain deprived.

Expats in genuine relationships are not Sexpats. Expats who pay for play are Sexpats. But a Sexpat has to be an Expat.

No, it makes me an an expat. A sexpat has been explained as  an expatriate who engages in sex tourism.  People who have wives and girlfriends aren't sexpats.

Genuine relationships ......... Not in Thailand.

Where did I back him? That's just your childish playground mentality.

Where about in Thailand for the first visit?

First one was a package of Bangkok/Samui. Myself and a mate originally went to a travel agent with the intention of going to Greece or Spain for a fortnight but the agent talked us into a special offer package deal for Thailand. Glad he did. We both came back a couple of times together as 2 week warriors as we loved Samui.

Then I started coming on my own for a couple of weeks twice per year (annual holiday entitlement restricted) before deciding to do a bit longer stay on a career break. Originally a year but dragged it out to two and a half. Made some fantastic friends on Samui during that time and. Many are still there and I see them regularly although I flit around a bit more nowadays.

Nothing to do with the country and everything to do with the person.

So you just contradicted what you said. I never said a sexpat wasn't an expat. Comprehending just like your other usernames, twisting things around, and again, joining others who act exactly like you do, although malcolm hasn't changed his name in awhile. Try starting over and see what I said at first, but you do this all the time, and you aren't fooling most here, especially the mods.

Why? Because i choose to stay with one woman at a time, and treat her well, without having to pay for their services.

I moved here for the fjords and snow skiing.

I didn't do a lot of research

Just a nonsensical word salad.

Sexpat is a Expat that pays for play. Simple. No need for a ridiculous word salad every time.

Not sure about that, as when single, I was a sexpat, but didn't indulge in the 'tourism P4P' version, just normal socializing, but it was definitely all about sex, not relationships.

Till I met the ONE ... that kept on saying NO ... Bi-atch.   Took literally months for her to warm up to me, or just couldn't take the weekly harassment, as sis served up some great food, and a weekly stop when playing single parent.   7 different vendors, one for each night of the week :cheesy:

Hate doing dishes, and didn't really have a proper kitchen.   Cooking for me & the wee one, just wasn't worth the bother.   Especially living near Udon Thani, as great food town, and was in town 5 nights a week anyway, picking the wee one up from school at 4 ish PM.   Hmm, sound like dinner time.
