New Internet censorship???

Featured Replies

As part of my civic duty, I happened to notice that every single one of the big porn websites are unreachable locally. Confirm?

I use CAT as my Internet provider.

Fine for me this morning, too. As all other URLs resolved normally, my best guess is that the internet censorship ministry is trying out a new system before (possibly) launching. There was a huge outcry over its plan to ban YouPorn.

Currently, there are three categories they try to block. Crypto as an attempt to avoid tax and crypto mining; locally-produced pornography; and online pharmacies in Thai selling the morning-after pills. (Can't have those abortions on their conscience, better teen mums.)

And LM, of course. Although govt would far rather charge someone than just block their content which could pollute the thinking of vulnerable others.

There is certainly far less censorship now than in the heyday of Prayuth but it seems to be rearing its ugly head again.

Govt wants to be morals police. Pols are certainly not moral in their own lives but...well, they only want to best for us!

Never heard of YouPorn so did search on Goggle, NT internet, found site but would not connect, timed out, switched to VPN US site, and came up straight away.

I'm too often sorry to be right. The morals police ride again. This block, from xvideos:

Okay, I found a workaround without resorting to VPN. xvideos:
