My friend who was knocked off his bike by a stray dog, has decided at 76 to cycle indoors. He is looking for a second-hand cycling machine. Any suggestions as to where to look, or offers?  Is this the correct forum?

 

How much does he want to spend?

Get  a mechanical bull for exercise

Get a cross trainer instead.

Sure.

But at 76, maybe it's a  good idea to keep more that your legs in good shape.

Recumbent style exercise bike with heart rate monitor and (depending on model) programmed rides.

I'd get an indoor trainer since he already has a bike. If you're comfortable on a regular bike it's going to be awkward on one of those machines. It will be cheaper too I'm pretty sure.

Thanks, as I have a stationary bike, I no longer use, but below Hua Hin.

If his bike wasn't badly damaged, get him to buy an indoor trainer.

I'd check Bahtsold.  There's always someone selling exercise equipment that they've grown tired of.  That's where I bought mine after my bypass surgery, then gave them away when I left LOS.

 

Also, Facebook marketplace and Craigslist.

 

(Though I haven't used either in years, so Craigslist may not even be in Thailand anymore.  Facebook just won't go away...)
