Police in Nonthaburi have arrested a 43-year-old man from Phayao Province for his role in a violent assault on a female debtor that left her injured. The suspect, identified as Mr. Chonnai, allegedly attacked Mrs. Bongkot, 57, at her rented unit in Bang Bua Thong district on the night of 22 October 2025, after stripping and exposing himself to her in a humiliating act.

According to police reports, the victim suffered a head injury and required eight stitches to her mouth after being slapped and kicked to the ground. The assailants, described as members of an illegal loan-sharking group, also damaged property inside her unit and smashed her motorcycle and mocking her by exposing their genitals and daring her to record the incident. The victim later filed a complaint at Bang Bua Thong Police Station, leading to an investigation and subsequent arrest.

Police officers led by Pol Col Phrut Chamroonsat, superintendent of Bang Bua Thong Police Station, along with Pol Lt Col Naren Weera and Pol Lt Col Sirodom Sripanya, tracked down and arrested the suspect late on 27 October 2025 in Moo 8, Lahan Subdistrict. Chonnai faces multiple charges, including operating an unlicensed lending business, charging illegal interest rates, coercion, night-time burglary, property damage and causing serious bodily harm. The Nonthaburi Provincial Court issued an arrest warrant under case number J.1434/2568, dated 25 October 2025.

During interrogation, the suspect admitted to assaulting the woman but denied involvement in any organised loan-sharking group. He claimed the dispute arose from a personal loan between his wife and the victim. Chonnai alleged that his wife had lent 20,000 baht to Mrs. Bongkot, who promised to repay 200 baht daily but later stopped payments and blocked contact. He claimed he visited her home only to recover the remaining 10,000 baht debt, but the confrontation escalated after she verbally abused and ordered him to leave.

Regarding the indecent act, Chonnai told police he exposed himself out of anger, saying the victim had raised her phone to record him first. He insisted it was a spur-of-the-moment reaction rather than an act of sexual harassment or intimidation.

Authorities have detained the suspect for further questioning and are gathering evidence to determine the additional accomplices involved. Police are expected to forward the case to prosecutors once the investigation is complete.

Let’s hope he and the others are sentenced to a long stay. They’re animals.

I have rarely exposed myself...due to anger.

Given reputation regarding the size of Thai tackle, I would assume exposure would be more humiliating to perp than to victim... maybe she laughed and pointed at his button mushroom?

I'm surprised that such loan sharks rarely fall victim to hitmen.:coffee1:
