U.S. Department of Labor's Nazi Style Ad Campaign

Featured Replies

Some things on this board tip into absurdity. This topic is one of them. This is a visual style. Retro, yes, but common to the US government, the UK and much of Europe before this. It's using nostalgia.

Stop it.

Nobody is saying that Trump is literally Hitler.

The Trump regime, however, is a white nationalist one and is following many of the exact same tactics of other authoritarian regimes (Hitler, Orban, Putin, etc.) to consolidate power to one man/one party rule.

As far as taxes, Trump's REGRESSIVE tariff taxes on consumers represents one of the biggest tax raises in history. Of course, the right don't feel it. Everone else does.

Might want to compare WPA murals, posters, and paintings before going down this route.

Without looking at them right now, an obvious huge difference is that the USA was a MUCH WHITER nation back then, and a big part of the maga movement is about white resentment that the USA isn't that anymore and the fascists like Stephen Miller (often called a Jewish Nazi and I concur) are working hard to reverse that as much as possible.

This is way too soft to be Nazi propaganda.

True Nazi Propaganda has far more of an edge, the men don't look like Harvard Preppies in 3rd Reich propaganda.

I can see the similarity, but it's not quite there.

Nice and wholesome though, kinda like it.

"Nice" white nationalism. Nobody is saying that the Trump regime is literally Nazi.

Splitting hairs.

In both cases that is for ALL the people.

The Nazi style ad campaign is clearly not directed at ALL the people.

And if the images were of African American workers the lefties would be screaming 'They want to bring back slavery'!!

I don't get this obsession with ethnic people in ads and posters.

Most Americans are white. Why can't there be white people in ads?

Is this wrong? Did I miss a memo?

Stop gaslighting. It isn't working.
