Malaysia Airlines ??????

Featured Replies

So, I was checking out flight to Bali and see Malaysia Air is the main flight. Is it silly to still think about their missing airplane?

I've always joked about never flying with them but now thinking about a trip to Bali. What say the professionals here?????

No alcohol or pork.

Domestically no, but if international and over 3 hours alcohol is served as  far as I know.

Malaysian Airlines are fine, having a plane shot down by Russia was hardly their fault, as for the plane that disappeared it's still unclear exactly what happened. I've flown with them several times since then, they had discounted ticket prices for a couple of years after the two incidents in 2014. No you won't get pork served on the flight, but that's the same with every airline I know, but they do serve alcohol on international flights. They operate a fleet of 89 aircraft, average age of fleet 9.9 years which is about the same as Thai Airways for comparison, they fly some 30,000 flights per year. No incidents since 2014.

But that 2014 deal with plane disappearing was a show stopper for me. They give probable cause as running out of fuel. I've always joked about never flying with them but...... I would like to hit Bali for a week or so.

That's technically correct.

I'd prefer MAS to flying Air Asia.

Garuda are good.
