Lost Pink ID for foreigners

Lost My Pink ID… Again! 😅 (Saimai District Office Update)

Well, it happened again — or rather, the Mrs managed to lose my Pink ID this time!

So off I went today to get it replaced (again) at the Saimai District Office.

This time I decided to make an online appointment first — what a difference! No queue at all, was seen straight away upon arrival. Whole process was quick and painless. Still the same 60 baht fee, valid until 29/10/2035, new mugshot taken, and job done in minutes.

Interesting detail: on my first ever card the number under my photo was 13 (that was back in 2016). On my previous replacement, the number under my photo was 303 (that was back in 2023). Now the number has jumped up to 800 — looks like a lot more people are getting their Pink IDs done these days!

All in all, a smooth and surprisingly pleasant experience at Saimai District Office this time around. 👍
