As always, the so-called “problem” of Israelis in Thailand is being blown out of proportion either by Muslims (video’s author)  or by antisemites (MalcolmB). Hypocritical creatures pretending to be deeply concerned about the Thai people, while in reality driven by their dark motives.

Bingo.

I remember being in Mae Hong Son in 2003, having breakfast at a hotel where a large group of young Israeli tourists were shouting, smoking, and treating the hotel like <deleted>. I felt really bad for the Thai staff and thought, 'What had they done to deserve such arrogant, nasty behavior?' Looking back over the decades, it doesn't seem they've gotten any better. I would certainly seek to avocie anywhere where there were large groups. Of course after Gaza there's a certain politcal pushback against them as well.

Extremely biased hateful garbage.

Also what exactly is wrong with there being a healing program for traumatized Israelis on the island?

Are they less than human and not deserving of having a chance to heal?

I don't see a problem with it.

In fact, it seems quite similar to what the "hippies" were doing there with the drumming and dancing before.

And also, regarding the "Thai culture being watered down" argument, I'm not sure that place was ever about "Thai culture" since it was famous for the full moon parties.

Found the video interesting.

Professional presentation helps a lot.

Except for his voice and mannerisms, gave me a headache trying to figure out what he was saying, sounded a little like a duck trying to talk to a chicken, sorry it’s just me.     Peace

This is about Thailand, not the west bank.

It's idiocy to conflate the two.

The Israeli try to take over business and more.Im not surprised at all. These people think their the choosen ones.I hope IMM also make them the choosen ones and blacklist everyone who doesn't follow the laws.

The Thais on Koh phangan have both the legal levers to probably take these businesses back under Thai control and the lesson of Israeli settler mentatlity take it - just take it sod the legalities or optics.

Another funny (not ha ha) thing about the Israeli tourist demonizers, they rant for days about how they hate Israeli tourists (often with revealing peppering of Jew hating tropes), and then at the same time whine that they're not allowed into Israeli oriented spaces in Thailand. You would think they're doing you a favor!

You have no idea how widespread such experiences are among Thais in Israel.

Either do you.

Just now, MalcolmB said:

Either do you.

I never said that I did.

However, anecdotal reports are just that and only that.

There is clearly a problem with an obsessive agenda of hatred trying to infect as many people as possible with the same bias.

So the Thais are making this up now?

Saturday is the day they should be resting .

Saturday is the Sabbath/Shabbat

For the Jewish people, Shabbat begins at sundown Friday,  and continues until sundown on Saturday.
Orthodox Jews will not touch money, drive, turn on and off lights,  use keys, and several other daily-life issues (including dietary). The temples hire a non-Jew to take care of these things for the building on Shabbat. People pay ahead if needed.
Most of the young Israelis are NOT Orthodox Jews. Most aren't even wearing yarmulkas, the small skull caps. They do play the Religion Card often, though, because they think they can.

Remember, they are young.

I'm off to Pai on Wednesday for the night with the motorbike group, will be interesting to see what the general buzz is with Israeli tourists there.

A real life experience shared.

Do you have any experience with Thai workers in Israel?

Reports of Israelis under paying Thai workers are widespread in Thai media.

I agree, it is just another excuse for some of them to avoid paying.

Which is a very big problem that the Thais are complaining about.

Listen Pal, stop trying to derail the OP.

What is your take on the current situation in Koh Phangan and when was the last time you were actually there?

If you have time pop into the Chabad House and let us know how it goes.

Ride safely.

I haven’t heard of any foreigners whining about not being allowed in.

It is the Thais who are “whining” as you put it.

Senior Israeli security officials met with Thai police commanders in Phuket on Sunday to address concerns over Chabad centers that bar entry to Thai authorities and growing reports of misconduct by Israeli tourists.

Why can’t you just admit the problem and stop deflecting?

They will support any cause that opposes Israel  or Israelis .

They lost all interest in the Gaza war when Palestinians began killing each other .

They want Israeli Jews out of Thailand  , they have no concern about foreigners living on KPG , they are using that to go on the attack against Israelis

Everything I have shared here is from the Thai media reporting the problems currently (and also historically)

Hellfire is just playing the “anti semitism “ card.

It is fairly predictable and repetitive.

It has absolutely nothing to do with antisemitism.

I'm going to CLOSE this.

While there are valid points on both sides, this topic has started to blur the line between Israelis and Jews — one being a nationality, the other a religion — and that’s leading to complaints and unnecessary tension. Some posts appear intended to provoke rather than discuss, so the topic is now closed.
