Chinese Men Accused of Gang Rape in Pattaya

Featured Replies

I have rather extreme views for a Centrist Democrat, but I do think that there are certain acts when committed are essentially a self-revocation of the right to consume oxygen. I think murder, rape and assault where a person is badly maimed are crimes that may deserve the death penalty. Society would certainly better be better off without these creeps, if what she's saying is true.

Good point. If it was rape, why would they give her 1000 Baht?  Also, does she have a job or is she a freelancer?

  • Maybe it was consensual until they short changed her. I thought it was only Indians who worked on the premise that 3 participate and pay for 1. If this is genuine she's not very smart being escorted a

The police here aren't stupid enough to believe everything that they are told. They know to look for evidence.

Sometimes people here allow their strings to be pulled before looking at the detail. No one is looking down on her for her choice of, let's say, employment. It's just the obvious lack of evidence to back up her claim of being forcibly raped. Rapists won't carry out such an act in their own home and then sit comfortably waiting to see if it gets reported. That, together with the mention of her being remunerated with 1000 baht for two men. That is 500 baht apiece. That would be taxi money in some quarters. She would have been raging. There is no way that just 1000 baht was agreed. It might have been agreed for one person and then another person joined.

Then it becomes per person.

But now it has got to this stage, they are going to have to pay a bit more, to cover the cost of everyone's time and trouble. That's just the way it is.

Obviously you know little of the Chinese. They see every other Asian person as well below them, particularly Asian women. I have no issue believing they raped her.

The case is currently under negotiation between the two parties. Initial reports indicate the victim demanded 300,000 baht from each man, but an agreement has not yet been reached. The police investigation is ongoing as they work to verify the conflicting accounts of the incident and what legal action will be taken.

But lets talk about money first?

The elephant in the living room is she ACCEPTED the 1,000 Baht...

A rapped woman would not ACCEPT money...

She was a hooker who got more action than she wanted and was poorly paid for her services...

And now she is looking for a big payday..For her services...

End of Story.

I do agree the Chinese guys did not exactly sound like Prince Charmings...So I would say a nasty tax is in order....

If she had accepted the 1000 they could claim she did it for money and therefore not rape

Yes, it would muddy the waters somewhat.

I grew up amongst them, alongside with other nationalities. I didn't meet any rapists.

The virtue signallers here prefer to ignore all the evidence and any intelligence, rather to just run with their emotions.

Regardless of a woman's chosen occupation or stated profession, you don't pin them down and have forced sex with them.

Did they? If so there will be bruises etc (rape examination). I was sympathetic until she demanded 300,000baht per person. If it were rape then surely she would be demanding prison.

In a country where it can cost a lot less for miscreants to skip punishment and avoid going to jail, her demand for significant damages from each individual is pragmatic. This is Thailand after all.

Now, what part of, regardless of a woman's chosen occupation or stated profession, you don't pin them down and have forced sex with them, do you disagree with?

I posted the same when the story first broke and am surprised I had to read this far to find someone else who thought the same thing.  Rape leaves telltale evidence beyond tears and hysterics.

Pinned down? Seems a flight of fantasy. Pinned down where? Arms? Neck? Where are the bruises? If no bruises, then unlikely it happened in the way she tells it. But one member here, REALLY wants to believe her, regardless of a total lack of supporting evidence.

And some want to blame what sounds like a rape victim for her own demise. I would like to think the police sent her for a medical examination.

What demise would that be? That she went on a job and got underpaid? Medical examination that shows what? That she had sex with more than one man? That is not under dispute. What is being discussed is whether force was used and the evidence to support that force was used. Otherwise it's just her words against theirs. No prejudice.

And would a medical examination not be a way to determine if indeed force was used?

Are you challenged in some way?

I think we can clearly see who is 'challenged' here. Maybe your brain isn't working that early in the morning.

If I use force against some one, say pinning them down by the neck or arms, a bruise may ensue. That is with minimal force. If I hit you, a swelling may appear.

So a medical examination, in this way, can indicate if force was utilised. Did I really need to explain that to someone of advancing age? it seems like child's play.

They may have.

But it's not as if Pattaya has no hookers.  It should be pretty easy to figure out if she's one of them.

Even if she was, doesn't mean she agreed to go with 3 of them. Then still rape.

And that's when she lost all credibility. A true victim would not settle for any amount of money. What more likely happened is she expected them to pay more, angered when they only gave her 1000 baht. The story sounds believable right up to the point where she is seeking monetary compenstation.

No, at least she can do some good things with the money. Will be scared nevertheless.

They do as long they have people like you defending them.
