French Certificate of Life

Featured Replies

I need to get my French Certificate de Vie witnessed in Pattaya. I used to use the Austrian Consul but I understand they are temporarily closed. Can anyone suggest another place to get this done.

A friend recently used V2B International Lawyers office on Beach Road Jomtien and spoke positively about them.

Why do you think they are closed?

The General Consul of Austria is also the Honorar Consul of Germany and I think the office in Pattaya is open (Monday - Thursday, 10 - 16 hrs, except lunch break).

Or does someone have different information?

Google lists the following as acceptable witnesses,

Notary Public: A Notary Public is a strong option as they are officially recognized.

Lawyer: A barrister, solicitor, or advocate authorized to practice in the country where the declaration is made.

Medical professionals: A doctor, surgeon, dentist, nurse, pharmacist, or optician.

Police force: A member of a police force.

Government officials: A civil servant, government employee, or a local government officer.

Other recognized professions: The specific list can vary, but generally includes professions like accountants, teachers, bank officials, or ministers of religion.

Hopefully you can find someone to help you among this list.

This is good, because I need to go there next week to get an income affidavit for my next extension of stay.

@lelapin for your information. Yesterday I was at the German Honorar Consulate in Pattaya and got an income affidavit. In front of me was a French couple who also received an income affidavit.
