Good old Famous Radio announcer shock jock  john laws has passed aged 90

He retired last year at 89 

 

Himself and radio announcer John Singleton used to visit heroin smugglers and Newtown Sydney footballer Paul Hayward in the Thailand jail back in the late 70's 

Paul Hayward was later released 10 years later  and died of Aids in Sydney 

John Laws, John Singleton , Rev Bill Crewes  , George Freeman rumoured to be helping his family during his time in jail 

What wonderful people these  were

If he hadn't retired he may be still alive.

I'm sure he was very honest along with John Singleton both visiting Hayward in the Bangkok Hilton

Good old Dougy lol. Used to put a smile on my face every morning. I remember the big stir when MMM was handing out "I'm a Doug addict" badges front of schools. He was right up there with Graham Kennedy. That Australia long gone now. I actually met John Laws once, went to his home in Paddo to fix a dishwasher. He was in the kitchen making himself toast. Real decent guy. Also went to a few of John Singletons live shows (with John Laws) at the TV studio. Both pi$$ed as ticks lol. Good old days 🙂
