I don't think Thai can compare to Chinese. Chinese women are raised much better, the parents invest more and are more on top, their values are better. Whereas Thai women are often palmed off to be raised by grandmother, one parent, etc, it's very rare you get a traditional, conservative household in Thailand raising a girl properly. In China, I found out this happens. I was very impressed.Not the fault of Thai girls, but one can't deny the end-result is sketchy.

Chinese are comparatively more westernized compared to Thai people. Also more likely to be educated. But the neurosis and snob factor will be quadrupled. Pick your pain.
 

My Chinese landlord was a definite eight and would text me bimonthly to ask how I was doing.
 

We went out to North restaurant and had ฿600 lump crab meat Khao Soy noodles. A lot of meaningful staring, but I had no clue as to how to move it along.
 

She’s married, her husband is in Beijing. I’m moving out January one and she wants to stay in touch. I’m putting her in the category of amiable and flattering time waster.

 

A lot of people here jumped on me for thinking about having sex with the women whose husband turned out not to be dying.

 

Is there an exemption for married Chinese where the guy will never show up at my front door?

Yes, that's a real problem with these prim and proper upper class Chinese. I had one on the couch and was also wondering, they tend not to send clear signals.

 

Obviously you can't jump them John Wayne style. The correct approach is probably middle of the road, you should not do nothing but not go in all guns blazing, instead, just try and create an atmossphere that is conducive to escalation and show your interest in a mellow way.

100% Chinese wife....highly educated, loyal and a breadwinner even in canada. You really strike a gold if you marry Chinese.

 

They don't like to brag, but I do. Even if not rich like my wife they usually have someone in the family at the very top level.

I'm a late convert, but I was never so impressed, as I was when I met this Chinese woman. What a female. Educated, values, good English, gourmets, curious, intelligent, intense, funny, I can't begin to say how much I like these Chinese girls.

Well, I had her on the couch on the first date, and I stood back, as she was apprehensive to come to my place on the first date. I'm playing the long game. I didn't actually create that atmossphere then.. And it worked, I got date 2, 3 and now maybe 4, let's see. But this is not unusual, I am told in China, the girls can go 2 months without a touch.

Yeah. That. They are excessively attentive when it comes to caring for the ELDERLY.  This over-the-top level of concern is frustrating, and although I have repeatedly asked her to stop, it seems to be an ingrained instinct. I have specifically restricted her involvement concerning food. Furthermore, whether we are out or in the condo, she constantly monitors my movements (my height is 196 cm) to prevent me from bumping into something. 

 

Tghe best thing tho is you can f up things in your marriage as much as you want. They always stick with you and are on your side because you are "family". But not the kind of family like with Thai where you are on the same level as a soi dog. You are equal or even more important than her parents. My wife's sister is the same. She married a pilot (she was an air hostess) and now lives in Australia. Her family comes first before parents and parents never ask her for anything.

I know what you mean, on the one hand I was enjoying the special attention, on the other you felt a bit like "I'm not an invalid", but I think it was an expression of respect and deep cultured appreciation. I mean I had Thai girls crack open prawns for me, but what this Chinese girl did was on another level. She put the satay skewers on the plate, then carefully lathered each one with peanut sauce, when the red curry with roast duck came, she filled the bowl with the curry and refilled it 4 times, noticing teach time it was empty, she tried to open the Ginger Ale can for me...I've never seen anything like it. Such attentiveness.

 

Now that you say that about how they stick with you, I almost want to cry, I'm so happy. I will do everything to conquer this Chinese girl, but of course it's never easy to conquer a woman. Conquering a woman is like conquering a mountain. So much can go wrong. Some don't survive.

 

In any event, my new ideal is a Chinese woman. This Chinese girl is by far the most attractive female I have ever met. The charming demeanour. Unequalled.

 

You know what really struck me? The beauty. This girl had an almost European nose, aquiline, not typical Han Chinese. Most likely because she was of  Yunann and Tibetan  ancestry. Nothing like a typical Han Chinese girl. I didn't know these women existed.

It's not just the attentiveness at dinner. It's the breathtaking beauty in the face, the slim body, the white flawless skin. The elegant style of dress, the clowning around, the intelligent conversation, harmony of male and female.

 

It's the full package. Though I suspect her perfect English played a major role.
