What do you believes drives members to engage in so much negativity, even when the topic of a post is upbeat?

The old guy who immediately thumbs down positive posts was hilarious. Hopefully he's still around.

So no evidence?

Are we to assume you simply lied.......a common trait of the extreme right wingers?

Nobody can see it pal but its easy to tell who does it. Your attitude is a dead giveaway.

You best just give it up. You've been caught, bang to rights.

How does one get evidence?

To be honest (you must know what that means) making an accusation must surely be based on evidence......so, you seem to have dug a hole for yourself by asking "How does one get evidence?'

....and when you're in hole.........

How does one get evidence? Well you do it on the forum. I can't see other of forum remarks. But where's there's smoke there's fire. Your very defensive remarks is a 90% sign of guilt. You are fooling nobody.

They are probably depressed and bitter but the allowing of the thumbs down emoji was a mistake

Oh my!!.....no smoke without fire.......I can only assume you must have been one of those red hot lawyer types in a previous life.

Can't be many juries that would resist convicting based on your sure fire approach of............ no smoke without fire......555555

Distraction again.

I expect an apology within the hour or I will suing you for defamation and will be demanding £1 billion compensation.

(I use the same lawyers as Trump).

Perhaps they are not yet old enough to drink alcohol...

Yet it seems that many posters seek out ways to responded in a negative manner to Opinions and Threads which are helpful, or are seeking help and suggestions, or are kind and supportive, or are commentary on social and human narratives.

Some folks simply don’t have a sense of humor and some are easily offended by other opinions, even if they’re in agreement 98% they’ll hold a grudge on a disagreement or a different point of view, possibly due to the lack of experience in engaging with and having a variety of different friends and relationships throughout their lives.

I think no one can see themselves. The truth is that we can either choose to play or not to play.

The fools are the ones who think it is real. It's a sandbox, it's not real. You are reading words appearing in front of you and deciding to react to them. No one is actually doing anything to you. So it's amusing to see people pretending to be the adults in the room.

Life is just a game and there's many ways to play. All you do is choose. Don't let anyone tell you what to do.

Reading some post, realized I didn't read othe OP, just the query in the title.  Saw what I missed ... 'What do you believes drives members to engage in so much negativity ... "

Without being insulting or demeaning, going to have to give answering a pass ... :coffee1:

The following post is in response to KhunLA's post I gather.

Makes a good point, btw ...

(I'd delete this post were it possible, rather than just editing it as I am now ...)

PS  Mods: what can't we delete our posts within the edit window?

That's quite revealing, that you couldn't answer without being insulting or demeaning. What not answer without being insulting or demeaning, but with honesty and truth? Write what you think. I did so. Did anyone feel insulted?

That's the point that I made earlier. You can choose how to react. You are in your own space. No one should hurt you for your honest thoughts. If you are afraid to express yourself, you are a mouse in hiding. Through interaction with others, we learn from each other.

I don't allow others to curtail my development and you should not either if you are a reasonable man. The whole point of a sandbox is that you don't actually hurt anyone. People can choose to become offended. Use it as a way to train yourself. Control your own mind. Do not allow others to control you.

You can erase your post and put a dot.

What is real?

In some ways, the internet is more "real" than meeting someone face to face.

Because of the anonymity, people can be brutally honest and sometimes that touches a nerve.

Some people seem to have quit the forum because they lost one too many arguments or got insulted one too many times.

But they argue with strangers

what is a stranger?

who cares if you haven't met the person in real life?

the internet has changed the way people communicate.

It's human nature to debate.

and then it can spiral out of control if emotions get involved.

Mostly crap on here.

Of course, but this doesn't answer my question.  It'd be good to be able to delete a post as the above scenario illustrates.

What's crap? The people on here?

Why do you keep inviting people to meet with you in person?

What's the real reason? Be honest.

You don't meet a lot of farangs out in Nakhon Nowhere? Maybe you should move to Bangkok?

Some of the people you invite are people who argue a lot with on here.

So it's for what? To "make peace"?
