Khao Kheow Zoo invites the public to name the newborn Malayan tapir calf

Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chon Buri is inviting the public to participate in naming its female Malayan tapir calf born on 28 September 2025. The calf, born to 14-year-old “New Year” and 12-year-old “Tulya,” is reported healthy and active. Members of the public can vote from a shortlist of three names and take part in a contest with prizes including 3,000 baht cash, zoo memberships and themed blankets. The campaign aims to boost visitor engagement and awareness of conservation efforts. It highlights the zoo’s commitment to education and community involvement in wildlife care.
