I'm not wrong, he does appear to mouth "McGee".   LInking to something that I;m nor allowed to access is pointless.

It is against forum rules to modify the post you are quoting, LOU. Since you are usually the master pedant pointing this out when someone does it to your post, I throw this back at you.

I would agree, the intention was not about weight but about her trying to hog the conversation. This is very obvious from the video. But it seems the left wing zealots who approve of her 'hogging' the conversation want to make it an issue of weight which they surely know is not true. I think President Trump handled himself well considering the abusive behavior of the woman reporter.

If he was (he wasn't), what would be wrong with that (apart from your use of the word "apologist")?

Read my sentence again.

Where did I say there was anything wrong with it?

It was your bias that assumed that.

So he  allegedly refers to a reporter as miss piggy and you are outraged, yet you feel perfectly comfortable referring to him as Mr Piggy yourself ?   I'd call that a bit hypocritical and I'm sure you would too

Saying it to someone’s face is a bit different.

I have referred to many females as pigs before with friends but I have never called a woman pig to her face as that would be insulting.

I did not assume anything.  "Apologist" is generally a derogatory term indicating the support of something controversial, that's where you implied that there is something wrong with it.

You should check your understandung of the forum rules before you start trying to "throw things back".

I did not "modify" his post.  It is not a contravention of the rules to quote the part of a comment that is relevant to my response as long as the context of the original comment is not changed.  I omitted the (inaccessible) link, that's all, the context remained the same.   The first sentence of his comment (his response to my saying that it appears Trump is mouthing "McGee", which it does) is what I responded to...

I remember a day when leaders of state had some dignity and treated people with respect. This circus clown is a bigoted racist, a clear misogynist, a goon with absolutely no respect for anybody, and every day he occupies the office of the presidency is a stain on the history of America and a slap in the face to most Americans.

He is very disrespectful of women. Is he also a racist? I think so.

The president actively entered the fray of an unfolding battle within the Republican Party, as the right wing struggles to deal with the rising influence of antisemitism and unvarnished bigotry against racial minorities and women in the conservative movement. On Oct. 27, Fuentes’ appearance on Carlson’s online show launched the ongoing row into high gear: Fuentes was given a platform on one of the most important online shows in the conservative ecosystem where he could declare that “the main challenge” of American society is “organized Jewry.”

“We do need to be right-wing. We do need to be Christian. We do, on some level, need to be pro-white,” Fuentes said. “Not to the exclusion of everybody else, but recognizing that white people have a special heritage here, as Americans.”

Trump’s first term featured the president flirting with turning a blind eye to white nationalists and antisemites with phrases like “very fine people.” His second term has ramped up into a full-blown ethnonationalist policy that admits only whites as refugees, seeks to purge black people from universities, and the military, and runs a police state targeting people for deportation based on racial profiling.

The barbarians aren’t at the gates. They’re already in the White House.

You know very well I am not in the MAGA contingent. I do however, understand Trump's exaspered comment, because I have said similar in my workplace, as have my work colleagues.  That's the real world. Some people want us to live in a touchie feelie world where emotions and feelings are suppressed and hidden, only to bubble up as passive aggressive acts. This incident reaction is faux outrage, and it was hardly a wrongful act. Would it help if Trump kissed the booboo goodbye?

Nonsense we expect more from a president when asked a pertinent tho unpleasant question than to respond like a spoilt petulant child. No more no less.

The faux outrage is tiresome.

Its seems that for some , their day is not complete, unless they have read or written  some sort of negative comment about Trump,

It matters not to these people  how trivial the matter they are commenting on might be , and as is usual for the lefties, whether  it's even  true or not , as demonstrated by the disgraceful behaviour of the BBC and the other biased mainstream media  who have been  clearly shown to have  taken to outright lying,

On any particular day if they can't find anything, no matter how trivial, to moan about then they will inevitably  always resort to throwing  out the usual  childish personal insults, whether its for the purpose  of maintaining  the "virtue" signalling, or  to  generate the all important "likes" or simply to keep the momentum up, and "keep the party going,"

So naturally the holy trilogy of  "Racist"  " Fascist Dictator" and  "misogynist" are the most common with "homophobe" and "misogynist" following close behind, They "the haters" seem to be a bit reluctant so far to go all in with  "paedophile" but it seems to be gaining in popularity, as they get braver.

Of course for the intellectually challenged who don't understand the meaning of all those big  words, there are the more traditional and juvenile adjectives to fall back on such as "man child"  "orange baby"  "bully" etc

Lucky for them that the President isn't a person of colour, at least not a colour that is protected, orange lives don't appear to matter it seems

only if a foreigner though. “Pig” is a relatively common nickname amongst Thais.

No matter who you're talking to, questioning, constantly interrupting someone is just rude.

Funny how the trolls state calling a woman 'hogging' things up a 'piggy' is offensive, and yet, the terminology most use describing President Trump, repeatedly, is considered, appropriate.

Hypocrisy - the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform.

Just as trump is a guest on air force one. trump is disrespectful to most people even dead people as in his tastless comment about the Khashoggi murder.

Absolutely,  Catherine Lucey (Bloomberg) started shouting her Epstein follow-up over the top of both Trump and the other reporter—pretty aggressively, microphone thrust forward.

How President Trump put up with these reporters being so rude is amazing!!

She showed no respect, she deserved what she got!!

This kind of pushy behavior has always been common for such reporters. Other Presidents have managed the situation without resorting to nastiness. But during this incident, not only did Trump insult a reporter for ABC, but said ABC should have its license taken away. Government  punishment of free speech, which is what Trump endorsed, is a clear violation of the First Amendment. That's a lot worse than any personal insults the President might have offered.

Not correct , its very annoying to watch these gobby (mainly) women reporters who have no idea when to talk and when to shut up.  Are you by any chance  a fan of "the view"
