The first 90 Day Report after renewing Passport

Featured Replies

When I did the transfer of stamps to my new pp, the IO told me I would have to do my next 90 day report in person, online not possible because new pp #.

Chaeng Watthana 90 Day Report has moved one floor up from main Immigration  counters.

Required:

Queue Ticket for my Online Appointment

New Passport

TM30 showing the new pp # (did it myself the day prior)

TM47 filled out

Receipt of Notification from previous TM47

Not required, but on hand in case asked for:

Old Passport

After getting the new Receipt of Notification, the IO specifically said, that I will be able to do the next 90 Day Report online again.

Appointment time was 11:30, all finished at 11:35

First up. Are your extensions based on retirement money in bank.

Mine are and CW insisted on  bank book photocopies back till last extension and bank book update.

Also since there is no urgency to transfer stamps... Surprised you didn't wait till 90 report window open.

That way you could do extension then follow with 90 report.

I did that year back and made 2 appointments.

First for extension followed by Report.

Yes, that's what I have and do.

She did not ask for bank book..., however, she specifically asked for TM30 with new pp#

Weird..

after nearly 20 years of dealing with Thai immigration, I do confirm:

they work in mysterious ways... Any rhyme or reason found is purely accidental

I had the same. I had the new passport and used it to leave and enter Thailand in May knowing I had to report in person for the new 90 day upon return. I had done the transfer of stamps being leaving the country.  I did a new TM 30 as the old one was 5 years old and was tied to the old passport. Her last words on leaving were, " Your new passport number is now tied to your address the one you have used for 20 years, the online system will recognize you."

Nov 15 I submitted the 90 day online report. It came back as accepted in 18 hours.

I picked up my passport today from Jomtien, they didn't move the TM30 over to the new passport, strange? @DrJack54

Every immigration office  is different.

Personally never had a TM30 in pp.

And for many years never provided a TM30.

In recent years I obtain a TM30 prior to annual extension.

One year back when I did stamp transfet to new pp I did not provide TM30. (CW)

I just popped into Jomtien to ask why they hadn't moved the TM30 receipt from old to new passport, they said "you can do that" so there we have it, they provide the bare minimum info as always, like not mentioning first TM47 on new passport will need to be in person

Unfortunately I had to show up for 90 days reporting at CW in person three times in the past year already. Once for new passport (which I can more or less understand) and twice for re-entering the country, which I see as an annoyance. The second time they also wanted a TM30. This seems to be requested randomly in place (immigration office)  and time.

After renewal of pp best option for transfer of stamps is to wait till 90 report window is open.

As for reports in person you do have mail option.

SORRY, it looks like that some, do not think before they run to the IO.

As DrJack like to teach, think and then bring everything together for 1 visit.

  • 1 month later...
