A Bangkok–Ubon Ratchathani train struck a pickup truck in Nakhon Ratchasima early on 21 November 2025, killing the driver instantly and leaving the vehicle crushed on the tracks. The collision occurred at 03.55 at a railway crossing near Kudjik Public Park in Kudjik Subdistrict, Sung Noen District. Rescue teams found the truck mangled and the victim trapped inside.

The victim was identified as Chukeiyrati Adsungnoen, a musician from Moo 1, Makluea Mai Subdistrict in Sung Noen. Three guitar bags were discovered at the scene, confirming his profession. The Bangkok–Ubon train was travelling toward Nakhon Ratchasima when it hit the Isuzu pickup.

Rescue workers from Sawang Saeng Tham Foundation and a medical team from Sung Noen Hospital used hydraulic cutting tools to release the victim. The operation took more than an hour due to the extent of the damage. His body was later removed from the wreckage and sent to Sung Noen Hospital for autopsy.

Authorities have not yet provided details on how the pickup entered the crossing before the collision. Railway crossings in the region have long been a concern due to limited visibility and inconsistent safety barriers. Local residents report frequent near misses, underscoring longstanding risks for drivers.

Manager Online reported that police will continue investigating the cause of the collision and review any available CCTV footage. The State Railway of Thailand is expected to issue additional guidance once the inquiry progresses.
