Pig abuse in Hat Yai floods

Featured Replies

Look at this video from the flooding happening in Hat Yai. Poor pigs are getting flooded out but luckily people have come to rescue!

Maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt because I never raised pigs but this downright animal abuse in eyes. Pull them by the ears and throwing them on the boat. I even see them kneeing them too. Looks horrific to me and I'm honestly surprised they would even show this on the news without at least some explanation. Am I wrong? what's going on here?

Two sayings

"A pig will always end up back in the mud ".

Make what you will of that saying ...a German guy in a bar related it to bar girls he tried to "help" get away from the bar

And

"You can't give strawberries to pigs !..

I remember a taxi I once got into in Australia.. immaculate, beautiful interior with magazines and water bottles

I said to the taxi driver "do you ever work in Mount Druitt? ( A low class area of Sydney)

He said " No way ! You can't give strawberries to pigs !

There's a job to be done. A few hundred scared pigs in imminent danger of drowning - just get them out and in to the boat. They are saving the pigs and you are complaining about the way they are being handled?

Why don't you go down there and gently stroke them and lure them with treats?

I fail to see the problem. It's an emergency situation down there, people went and saved the pigs.

Good point! They treated those poor pigs like <deleted>. Really shameful behavior.

I get your point which is why I said I give them the benefit of the doubt but it looks downright malicious. They threw that one pig on its head and pulled it by the ears. Sorry but that can't be the best way to handle pigs and they didn't even look like they were in that much of a rush.

Pigs are big, mean, very strong and stubborn as hell.

They don't have a grab handle on them

If you're going one on one with them grab anything that you can, ears included,

They are not pets, they're farm animals raised to get a bullet in the head, or don't you like pork?

I see nothing in the video that I haven't done multiple times

You should really go to a farm when they're cutting the nuts off the wiener pigs. A sound you won't soon forget.

LOL. Ok maybe I got it wrong then. If they're mean little bastards then I understand.

they aren't pets, they are food. They are stubborn and will cut you with a quickness. Teeth are super sharp, I'm missing the end of a finger from a baby pig when I was a young man.

Yeah the other guy said that too so I think my concern is misplaced. Maybe that one they threw around was being a jerk beforehand and deserved it.

Yes, you are wrong. Pigs are extremely tough and strong. That's how you move them, especially when time is of the essence.

Oh shocking

Unfortunately I'm a big City boy I don't like the country areas

I drove out into the Country side of Australia a few years ago only to see dead kangaroos on the side of the road

I stopped the car to call police and ambulance only to be abused by some country cop that arrived in a 4 wheel drive police car wearing a slouch hat telling me it's common practise for these poor animals to be killed by cars and trucks and I shouldn't of stopped !!!

What an <deleted> he was

Never been back to the country nor to any farms where they treat animals badly
