November 28, 2025Nov 28 My meds, from Australia, are running low...without Aussie govt. subsidy some are expensive. Eg Janumet XR 50/1000 Are these expensive in Thailand. Or are there cheaper alternatives.
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Type 2 Diabetes drugs like Glibenclamide and Metformin are readily available in Thailand. They are cheap and can be bought at pharmacies without doctor prescription.
November 28, 2025Nov 28 These are generic drugs and are sold under different brand names. For example Metformin are sold under Siamformet brand.
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Consider Ketogenic (low carb) diet to reverse Type 2 diabetes. I will post 2 videos, both doctors that seem reliable to me. Dr Brett Sher and Dr. Ford Brewer. If you're on meds, I have no idea how it works ie if there are any potential complications. Do some research and consult with your doctor, but your doctor may not know anything about Keto diets.
November 28, 2025Nov 28 Sorry if it's spam. If you're comfortable staying on meds and don't want to try a new diet, just ignore.

Simple terms, easy to understand, no drugs, sometimes referred to as 'medication'... ''Make some 50% of your food fresh fruit and vegetables. Meaning not even cooked..." Permanently... In sync with this doctor's view, as explained at 4 min in his video. "Permanent change in a lifestyle, the way you eat". But then how to distinguish healthy food from the poison on our tables. Healthy eating: Focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins, while reducing processed foods, sugary drinks, and unhealthy fats. Taking medication to control diabetes while eating poison food is a good way to fail. 1.- Processed food, eliminate 2.- Sugary drinks, eliminate, as they are laced with 'refined sugar', the poisonous one. Sugar from fruit, not a problem. It is natural. Eliminate all sources of refined sugar. 3.- Avoid unhealthy fats, must start with using only good oils, not from seeds, like canola for example. Olive oil, coconut oil are the main good oils.. Nearly all the food cooked in Thailand contains unhealthy components. The main flavoring of food in Thailand is the addition of refined sugar, as no one knows how to properly cook food here. And one important source of this refined sugar is inside the bottle of sauces, that are all ubiquitous on cooking tables of restaurants, bought in food stores. So start by eating food that you cook yourself. With no processed meats, no refined sugars, no bottles of sauces, and no unhealthy oils. As one of my good friend from back home said one time, "I thought I was eating healthy". When we found out that all (a challenge to find food with no added refined sugars) the food here contained refined sugars, that we thought we were avoiding... Eating poisons and taking meds after, is not the way... Good luck...
