Dell Power Adapter for Laptop

Featured Replies

My Dell Power Adapter for my laptop, isn't working. Both were bought in Australia.

Thr adapter is a 130w with a Type C connection. Must I only purchase another same wattage adapter, even if it's also a Type C connection?

As I live in Pattaya, is Tukcom in Pattaya thr best place to go searching for this? I don't think there's any Dell shops here.

Lazada.........🤗

I was also thinking Lazada and Shopee too, but are there any fake Dell adapters being sold there? That's my only concern.

Also, seems there are Type C adapters that are 65w instead of 130w, will that be an issue? Or must I only buy the same 130w?

How do you get to the Dell official store on the Lazada app? On the app, if I search for "Dell official store", I get just a bunch of random results.

What is the point of making a comment then replying I cannot help......and there is no official Dell store in Lazada :whistling:

to the OP I bought a genuine power adapter for my Asus laptop a couple of years ago from Lazada and never had a problem with it.....find the actual part number and search Lazada for a replacement....check the reviews of the seller...avoid Tuckom.

Just buy the 130w with the correct adaptor plug and stop worrying...Though I would not pay 1200bht for a charger..Loads on Lazada selling for way less in the same ballpark, just read the ads carefully...🤫

Are all the adapters sold at Tukcom all fakes and won't last for a year or two?

I bought a Dell adapter from one of the shops in Tucom a few years ago and it lasted for the rest of the life of the computer. The seller had both genuine Dell and also knock-off adapters. He was very upfront about it and pointed out the differences.

They are not expensive, even for the genuine ones. And you can go in and walk out with one in hand in 30 minutes.

I don't know about Tukcom in Pattaya, but at Fortune Town in Bangkok, I had my choice between a genuine OEM or a knockoff for half the price.

There's quite a few kiosks that specialize in power adapters and I'd go to one of them with the one I'm replacing before I'd take a chance getting the wrong one online.

A lot of changes have happened in Tukcom over the past few years....I go in a couple of times a week....there is just one lady on the second floor that has quite a few various adapters for sale he could take it in and see if she has the right replacement....as far as I am aware they are second hand/used.

Ended up buying one from Lazada for 1.8k from BatteryDepot, which comes with a 1 year warranty from BatteryDepot. Other option was Dell Shop by NextPlay, which seems to be the only authorised Dell seller selling the real deal, however, they didn't have my charger in stock and the next higher wattage charger is nearly 3k baht.

As with all battery adapters on Lazada, they all claim to be "Geniune" but I'm pretty sure they're all copies, even the one I received. Looking at the light at the end of the wire near the USB-C connection, it's way too big and the cabling at that side is thicker. The writing of the "130.0W" font is different. The model number is different by one letter, instead of starting with "DA" it starts with "HA". It's also not a Dell Thailand warranty.

Regarding Tukcom, the battery shops there claim theirs is also geniune, which I don't think they are. They only offer a 3 month warranty and not an official Dell Thailand warranty. They're being sold for 1.5k to 1.9k at Tukcom.

If you mean the one on the 2nd floor to the left of PowerBuys, she's rude and charges the most. I would avoid her. Better talk with the shop to the right of PowerBuys.

Funny you should say that....a few weeks back the speakers in my spare Lenovo laptop went tits up and I spoke to the guy to the right of PowerBuy......he`s always sat there.....he quoted me 1500 baht to replace them....yeah right...bought the genuine replacements off Lazada for 240 baht and with the help of YouTube replaced them myself....took 20 minutes.

That is why in my first reply I said AVOID Tukcom.....
