  • Time for the finger pointing and denials and the city paying to form a panel to learn why this would happen. Clearly, it is do to some construction defect or flaw. There was no outside force making it

  • The structural design well explained in this article. So much for the "arm chair" experts and their misguided blame in this thread. Put ya brain into gear before the keyboard!!!

  • So the egg guy sees the truck with its bed raised, but just keep driving. Instant darwin award.

Why?

The bridge was smashed into by a lorry. What has that got to do with the sky train??

Every concrete structure fails eventually..

Yeah, better stay off every bridge, out of every tunnel, off every mass transit train, off all the expressways, stay out of all buildings, don't go near any walls, don't go on the underground, don't walk under any bridge or mass transit line, stay away from sea walls and dams, and whatever you do don't go up any stairs, stay out of airports, stadiums and arenas. They crumble to pieces literally daily.

Having watched the video you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to recognise that a vehicle with the tipper in a raised position striking a piece of infrastructure at a lower height than the maximum position of the tipper is not going to end well. The idiot in the truck deserves to be severely punished. Nothing he can offer the family of the deceased will ever be adequate for the loss he caused them through his negligence in failing to lower the tipper and making it secure.

I have seen dash cam footage  clearly showing the lorry hitting the foot bridge with its tipper in the raised position..

Yes.. that was not released when i made my initial comment. It also was not in the initial story.

It was not in the initial story, because the incident was developing and the rescue was ongoing when it was first posted.

AS further details came in, the story was updated and further information was posted.

You made a post based on nothing but your own fantasy, so it was not the fault of the article, it was you lack of knowledge and understanding and the Dunning Kruger effect, that allowed you to post your Thai bashing wild guess.

One would hope and pray that someone trying to drive a truck with a raised bed on a road has a brain so they realize that it's is not only illegal but it's also very unsafe and stupid just waiting for an accident to happen. It had nothing to do with substandard construction.

Merry Christmas

Tipper driver 65 years old, caught up in traffic? On the phone to his wife? His bad karma it happened to him? Now to spend more time in the temple? Not really his fault!!
