Bank Code.

Featured Replies

I need bank details for pension service to get my UK pension sent to my Thai bank account. I need to know what the bank code is, if applicable. Also what is the Iban number, if applicable?

Thanks.

Jeez, ever considered asking the bank for those details?

Of course I have. My bank is about 20 ks from home and living up country their staff do not speak English, then there's the waiting time.

What Bank ? Ask chatgpt  and you get this......

SWIFT/BIC (for international transfers)
BKKBTHBK
Bangkok Bank
IBAN
Thailand does not use IBANs. You don’t get an IBAN for Bangkok Bank accounts. For international incoming transfers you provide:
Recipient account number
Recipient name
Bank name & address
SWIFT: BKKBTHBK
Bangkok Bank
Bangkok Bank address (often used in wire transfers)
Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited
333 Silom Road, Bangrak, Bangkok 10500, Thailand

Every bank has a call centre with English speaking staff

Yeah, but still good luck with being actually able to speak with someone whose grasp of English is greater than a 2-year-old's in my experience, though!

@NoshowJones - the following link includes details of SWIFT codes for each and every Thai bank:

The English of most call center agents is better than that of most non-native speakers I have met in Thailand. Certainly better than that of the farang who populate Pattaya, including many of the native speakers there.

@CharlieH gave you the complete and correct answer.

SWIFT code plus account number.

As for addresses: it's ok to use the address of your branch,  doesn't really matter. Including their phone number doesn't hurt.

Many banks also want that you include your address,  preferably with phone number.
