Spy Next Door: The Anna Chapman Story

The FBI reveals that Anna Chapman is just one of a sprawling web of Russian agents on the loose in the United States.

When President Obama closes out a round of diplomacy with Putin, a swarm of FBI officers swoop on the network of Russian spies, leading to one of history's biggest spy swaps.

And when there's a spate of suspicious deaths among UK residents with links back to Russia, 10 Russian officers are sent packing, including Anna Chapman: a move that goes down badly in Moscow.

Into the 3rd episode of The Sopranos.

Seems to go ok.

I just abandoned it halfway through season 2. It's been wildly praised but I couldn't get interested in the lives of low level mobsters in New Jersey. It was one of those shows which was okay when I was watching it, but when I wasn't I had no desire to go back to it.

I could have watched another 6 seasons. Alongside Breaking Bad no other TV series comes close.

The first one, with Walt in underwear, makes you think this might not be as good as they say, but stick with it. The Sopranos is also a good one, starting off a little slow, but it gets involved and is as real as it gets.

Promising, big fan of Willem,

Ever see The Lighthouse? Pretty rough. Always liked when he smiled saving Harrison Ford in Clear and Present Danger.

Hmmmm. Men in underwear is not my thing, might give it a swerve.

Too dark for me, and I’m not especially a fan of fictional thrillers or horror movies, even though Willem is a great character in it.

That's what I thought until I watched all of it. Not to be missed.

I didn't like The Wire either. I made it through around four seasons of Better Call Saul but it ended up being disappointment, maybe because it felt so unnecessary after Breaking Bad. I couldn't even make through a few episodes of The Office. All of these are rated 9 or above on IMDB.

On the flip side, Breaking Bad was a tour de force although it probably went on for too long. Game of Thrones was consistently good until the last season, when it fell off a cliff. The first few seasons of Shameless were great (actually starting with season 2, season 1 was pretty mediocre). Strike Back was brilliant, starting with season 2. And my favorite: The Queen's Gambit.

Last night I decided to revisit a movie in my collection and watched, "The Imitation Game" with Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightly amongst others, and was surprised how much I enjoyed it, esp after seeing it a few times prviously!!

One thing that stood out was the acting of Cumberbatch, who IMO was superb!

I revisited Hot Fuzz last night, second in the Cornetto Trilogy and the second best imho.

Shaun of the Dead an absolute classic, Hot Fuzz an absolute delight and World’s End good but a fitting end to the trilogy.

Not exactly The Godfather or Lord of the Rings as trilogies go but still hilarious, imho and I would recommend to anyone …… even those on here who dismiss a movie/series after 10 minutes !

I agree, most of the top rated series & movies, I stopped watching, or worse, didn't even get pass the trailer. Most I simply have no interest in, or couldn't keep my attention.

Big fun!

Mine is fine. I've never heard any complaints about Pirate Bay or 1337x or LimeTorrents.

All 3 of my computers and my NAS are problem free.

And I have 10TB of downloaded movies, TV shows, music and books.

Season 1 was Sky, the rest were Skinimax ...... hence all the nudity.

Add block and pop up block helps a lot..the real danger is from downloading and running patched and cracked programs and games... Not so much from downloading movies and tv series.. though sometimes they discuise an executable as a movie file.

Turn off hide extension for known files what a stupid idea to enable it as default !!!

Great movie. Just watched it again ...

The Green Book. 👍

The Green Book.

Thanks for this recommendation. Just watched it and was moved by this re-creation of an America that, for the most part, has left the scene.

Too bad that there are today large chunks of the American public who, having accepted that blacks are human, have turned their vicious attention to anti-semitism.

One can only hope that, 25 years from now, movies will be made that, like The Green Book, will show the present hatred for the mindless ignorance that it is.

If you like action movies and Jason Statham - his 2026 movie "Shelter" is a good watch.

"A reclusive former government assassin finds his forced isolation shattered when a stranded supply girl triggers a lethal tracking system, forcing him to defend her against his old handler's relentless execution squads"

I watched it last night- very typical storyline but none-the-less entertaining. Rated 6.1 at IMDB - I thought it was better than that.

I liked it as well, but I don't know that I would give it much more than that.

To me, 5 is a decent movie.

I'm watching "Yellowstone" now. I saw the first two or three seasons when it came out, and I rewatched those, and I'm in season four now. It does seem to be getting a bit silly, but I'm still enjoying it. 7.5 to 5

Nothing more than a silly soap opera, was an OK time killer, if nothing else to watch. Rewatching wouldn't be interesting at all.

Prequels were so much better.
