  • It would have been smarter from Clinton to claim that he will testify only if Trump also testifies! 🙂

Take a Bow Mr. Comer, Clintons criminal contempt for avoiding a Congressional Subpoena has advanced to a Vote on the house floor.

Don't let them escape justice Mr. Comer.

BREAKING: Comer Shows Photos Of Clinton From Epstein Files In Call For Contempt Of Congress Charge

  • Popular Post

It is really very simple, and actually quite clever.

The house committee wish to question the Clintons about matters which are in the Epstein files.

If they refuse, then they face criminal charges.

Criminal charges will take the matter from Comer's committee to the courts. The Epstein files will then become evidence, and have to be publicly disclosed, before the courts. If they refuse to make the evidence (the Epstein Files) public then any court case will collapse.

Yep, it's gonna backfire like a <deleted>. 😆

Inevitably, the charges of contempt will never be laid.

He (Trump) really does hire the best people doesn't he?

A new meaning for "talking trash".

Please explain the above!

Please explain the above!

"Clinton's refuse" means refuse (trash) that belongs to Clinton. The apostrophe in "Clinton's" makes it possessive, not plural, and also makes the next word a noun, not a verb. Basically the sentence then means that Clinton's trash will testify, not that the Clintons won't testify.

I wish I had not asked as I still have no idea what you are saying!

What does the word "trash" mean in the above gibberish?

I think that what you meant to say was that Clinton's testimony would be\include trash!

Refuse as a noun means trash.

Refusal as a noun means noncompliance.

Correct phrases for the headline would be either "Clintons refuse" or "Clintons' refusal".

Let's not get started on where the apostrophe should be placed.

Those who are not native English speakers get a pass.

Otherwise, here's a link to a book sold on Amazon entitled "Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation". It discusses in a humorous way how punctuation is important and how simple mistakes can completely change the meaning of a sentence. A good example of this is the title of this thread.

https://www.amazon.com/Eats-Shoots-Leaves-Tolerance-Punctuation/dp/1592402038

I know that something like punctuation is a difficult subject for MAGAs, but this book treats it in a lighthearted way and may be of help. Probably a good place to start one's basic education before jumping into more complex issues like politics.

The DoJ would first have to obtain grand jury indictment(s):

(Peter) Navarro sought to overturn the 2020 presidential election and in February 2022 was subpoenaed twice by Congress. Navarro refused to comply and was referred to the Justice Department. In 2022, a grand jury indicted him on two counts of contempt of Congress. In 2023, Navarro was convicted on both counts, and in 2024, he was sentenced to four months in jail, becoming the first former White House official imprisoned on a contempt-of-Congress conviction.

Yes, but in this case the DOJ will probably realise that proceedings in court will almost inevitably involve making public things in the Epstein files which they are doing their damndest to make sure do not get made public!

That's why I don't think that they will proceed.

Clinton gets a BJ in the Oval Office, gets impeached for perjury and obstruction, and now pictures come forward of him getting a relaxing massage... oh the selective outrage when a stained dress sparked a national crisis, but a grinning neck rub from an Epstein accuser is overlooked.

The Clinton's are TeflonTM. They are untouchable. Hillary just flips the DOJ the bird while Bill turns around, drops his draws, and "moons" Pam Bondi and Congress. And nothing will happen.

The Clinton's, Ignoring a congressional subpoena

If, in fact, the House approves a contempt resolution against both Clintons and refers it to DoJ, at least when Peter Navarro was in the same position, he sought a (civil) declamatory judgment from the DC Court that the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th attack was "unlawful".

Navarro was indicted by the grand jury a few days after his motion was denied.

The Comer resolution for contempt repeatedly, among others reasons, cited the legislative purpose of the hearing would be to investigate "ways in which Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell sought to curry favor and exercise influence to protect their illegal activities."
