The way things are going under the conmans rule, no one wants to go to the USA anyway. No real loss to anyone until the govt changes.

  • They're taking a timeout to evaluate why so many approved visa candidates end up on the dole when they come to the USA. Sounds reasonable to me. Sounds like the vetting process hasn't been working v

  • How many Americans are going on the dole in Thailand? Here's the key, from the OP: aiming to prevent the entry of individuals deemed likely to become a public charge.

How many Americans are in the process of applying for an immigrant visa for Thailand?

As you replied to my post with a blank post of your own, I can only assume you are at a loss for words. So I'll answer for you. Thailand, in fact, does not even have an immigrant visa. What Thailand does is allocate each nation a number of applications (usually around 100 or so) for Permanent Residency. Of that number, those acquiring permanent residency are usually in the single digits after failure to meet qualifications. So that is what you have here. Americans in the single digits have likely applied for PR. Meanwhile, Thais who have successfully received US immigrant visas in recent years number between 6,000 and 10,000 per year.

Cheap gas is

The manipulating group was the DNC under Biden. TRUMp is taling to people that are not part of the government or living inthe bubble. He is looking at the states like Minnesota and California and making the necessary changes.

He is running the government as he did with everything else, he is listening but making ht final decision.

Considering that gas is the lowest it has beenin a long time, jobs are coming back, and people are investing money in the country along with giving allyou guys that are here 2k just because he has saved that muchmoney in the government spending.

Would the average American want benefits to assist them, or to assist illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. and now want to have everything given to them and still be allowed to live life like they were in their old country, with the corruption that is there?

Gas is cheap because the world has a glut of oil. Food inflation is 3.1%.

Jobs are coming back? The job market is weak, Trump is firing people who give him bad job statistics.

If investment in America consists of other countries stampeding out of Treasury bonds, I have to ask what you are smoking.

US national debt is growing at a rate of $6 billion a day. Trump is saving money? He's spending it like a drunken sailor, on essentials such as ballrooms.

Who has actually got this $2000 from Trump?

I am overweight in precious metals. Because that will be the only store of value after Trump has finished debasing the dollar to toilet paper.

What makes you think the Government will change,,,,with Rubio and JD waiting to take over, expect the same and more restrictions...the world is closing up for everyone. I guess maybe it was not a good idea for Biden to open our southern border and for Merkel to kick start the freebie program, and now you have boats all over the English Channel...after Obama, Sarkosy and the UK took out Kaddaffy....well done folks...well done. Actions have consequences.

March 2023 I applied for CR1 visa for my wife, and CR2 visa for her minor child. We chose CR1 (marriage) visa instead of K1 (fiancé) visa because it allows faster path to USA citizenship, essentially they get their Green Cards (Permanent Resident) upon arrival, and can take the citizen test in 2+ years. We used an agency (TSL in Bangkok), it was necessary for us, as the process was long and complicated, I couldn't have done it on my own. It took almost a year for our applications to be approved by USCIS (US Customs and Immigration Service) and sent to US NVC (National Visa Center) for processing. It took a few more months for the interviews, prior to which they both had to undergo health and background checks. The first interview was cancelled because while my wife recovered from TB a long time ago, her chest x-rays showed scarring, she had to undergo another several weeks of additional testing. Finally in August 2024 they completed their interviews, were approved, and got their CR1/CR2 visas. We immediately flew to USA to begin our life together here. Since then they have been model citizens, contributing to community and economy. Soon this year we need to apply for 10 year green cards before the 2 year green cards expire, after which they are eligible to take USA citizen test. I feel sorry for anyone trying to bring their spouse / family to USA from Thailand now, and concerned for my own family's status in this new USA administration promoting fear and loathing about and to new immigrants to our country. While we would like to visit Thailand, and technically it shouldn't be an issue, we don't want to take the chance of not being allowed back into our country, we will stay home for now.

Trump and Miller are absolutely masterful at the use of fear as a tactic, and promoting Marxism and their hope of a future autocracy, where wealth and power would be unlimited.

Absolutely...note, all the Somalis are on the dole right now.

I have been demanding that Thailand give me free housing, free health care, and free money every month, as all the immigrant freeloaders get in the USA, the EU, and the UK.....

So far I have not got a single baht out of the Thai government....

Expats in Thailand in Thailand need to unite and demand they give us free stuff.......lol

Also, I want to run for office in Thailand...if Omar can do it, why can't I run for office in Phuket?

Hopefully Thailand reciprocates.

Why? There is not a bolus of Americans running to immigrate here. No impact on the USA or Thailand. The bulk of folks coming to immigrate here are from Europe, Australia and Russia dude.

As a Yank, let me say - America doesn't look like America

masked losers/cowards kidnapping moms is a bad look, they took some autistic lady out of her car yesterday, she was a citizen and it took 6 cowards to drag her out. Only to release her down the road away from the cameras.

Trash humans one and all, only the Cult likes what daddy is doing but they are dumb anyway

Ok, so let the illegal criminals run wild in America....unless it is your daughter or wife that is attacked.

Totally agree with you Jai Yen. Things will not change until the fascists are out of power.

The fascists are the Liberal Governors who refuse to let the ICE folks into the local jails to kick out the criminals. If they were allowed to do so, there would be no need to hunt them down. More Run.

The autopen administration was just the straw that broke to camel's back. I think what opened a lot of eyes is the current congressional investigation where it was revealed that 78% of the Somalis in the USA are on some kind of welfare even after 10 years in the country. Not hard to imagine that a lot of others are just as much a drain on the US taxpayers, even if they do reliably vote Blue...

Thanks, but folks are quick to call Trump a Fascist, but forget that they get up everyday, go to work, while the Somalis and other folks in my hood, sit back and take all the Stimis and free stuff all day, everyday. This is what the Gen Z call "Cuckold"...and liberals are Cucks.

A renewal probably wouldn't be much of an issue, but first timers might want to make sure they know what they are doing before they step into the consular office for their first meeting.

Renewals haven’t always required an interview. Let’s hope that does not change.

Well stated, Jai Yen. This is the new America, now known as Trump America 2.0 or MAGA America. The country has regressed to the equivalent of Germany in the late thirties. Fortunately for me, I am a Canadian and can only watch in horror what is going on south of the border.

Stay in Canada and let Americans figure out how to solve our broken immigration policy. OK. Mind your own business.

FACTS! if the usa stop giving out freebies, housing, healthcare and ability to run for office, no one would be interested in coming to America. OK!

Based on available data, approximately 2.4% of Thai Americans (which includes immigrants and US-born individuals of Thai descent) receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, also known as food stamps.

This rate is significantly lower than the overall US population, of which 13.7% received SNAP.

Best guess estimate according to AI (because hard figures are unavailable in both countries):

The number Americans becoming Thai citizens over the past ten years is: around 100 or less.

Number of Thais becoming US citizens: 45,000 to 55,000

Not to worry, there are special dispensations for valuable employees with critical skills.

Trump Organization requested record number of foreign workers in 2025

The company sought to hire workers through H-2A and H-2B visas for temporary positions at Mar-a-Lago, two golf clubs and at Trump Vineyard Estates in Charlottesville, Va., according to data from the Department of Labor.

Everything is free in New York City now with the new communist mayor. Better hurry before they run out of stuff.

Got nothing to do with it, they want to refuse all Thais. If it is about money, you can make rules for that.

There are rules for that, but the political left broke the rules and made a filthy mess. This would have never been on the table if the left weren’t on a mission of destruction.

Sorry, I think you’re under the misapprehension that I give a stuff what you think, when it’s quite the opposite. My comments referred to Thailand stopping Americans getting their visa’s and being kicked out.

Excuse me? You do know many countries in Western Europe have high average salaries, some of which have higher average salaries than the US? If you are going to try and link statistics then at least be on point. Otherwise I could be very flippant about the state of US cities. I'm not even thinking about going to Detroit, Baltimore and even as painful as it sounds New York due to safety (not exactly a 'premium experience').

So you can't get a marriage visa/extension if you wanted one.

My wife (marriage not registered but could be if needed ) needs to start the visa process and hope this won't complicate things. She isn't wealthy but has multiple properties and rental income (15-25k). Also has 1-2 million in the bank. She is in great health with no children and looks like a respectable 50+ ( biased I know ). I'm also financially stable but it is my understanding that my situation isn't a concern in regards to her visa.

Anybody out there have an opinion on the above? What issues might I expect?

Did you marry her for money?

FACTS: The pause takes effect starting Jan. 21, and will halt visa issuance to people looking to permanently immigrate, typically through marriage, family ties or work sponsorship. It doesn’t block people from obtaining tourist or temporary work visas.

But if usa would allow Thai gals to open happy ending massages all over america where for $40 or so all the super horny males could get some relief rather than getting into fights over girls the crime rate for violent assaults would likely plummet saving billions. Plus there would be lot more guys walking around with smiles on their faces rather than being pissed off all the time looking to blame someone for their miserable lives.
