Hotel And Air

Featured Replies

I have been to Thailand before and have used the Chin House in Sala Daeng, The Regent Silom Serviced Apartment which I hated and the Pinnacle Hotel near Lumpinee Park. On this trip I would like to stay in Silom because I enjoyed being near the shopping, the crowds and the entertainment... I also liked the idea that I won't have to use a Taxi or Tuk-tuk to get to the area I enjoy most.

I have found the Swiss Lodge Inn and the Silom Residence @ Trinity. The Trinity looked nice and I think it is in the area I want to be but I am not sure about the internet service out of there.

Do any of you know of a nice place around 2,500 baht in the Silom area that has free or good value Internet (Wireless would be best) in the room?

I had to edit this to add my AIR question.

I have been looking at the Thai Air special 3 coupon travel deal. For $169 USD I can get 3 tickets inside Thailand. I am thinking of taking this deal to fly from Bkk to Chiang Mai, then to Phuket and then back to Bangkok. I think this is a fair deal... Do any of you know of a better deal going on when I arrive in October?

Thanks! :o

Try:

Unico Grande Sathorn Boutique 2,450 THB

59 Silom Soi 3, Silom Rd.,

Swiss Lodge 2,450 THB

3 Convent Road, Silom,

Saladang Place 2600THB

5 Saladaeng Road, Silom

Holiday Inn Silom Plaza 3000THB

981 Silom Road,

I haven't stayed at Unico but have stayed in the other three and Swiss Lodge gets my vote. If they don't offer free internet maybe you can bargain for it. I know they have good internet in the room but can't remember if they charged for it or not.

Tower Hotel also has a great rooftop bar/restaurant, I mean by this the food ain't terrific but it's a good place to drink beer and eat Bar-B-Q shrimp at sunset.

Also there is the Narai Hotel but I haven't stayed there for a few years and it's not as good as Swiss Lodge.

Try the Silom Serene...located next door (west) to Bangkok Bank. A boutique hotel...very nice...about Baht 2,000. Not sure about the Internet service, however.

Thanks EVERYONE! I appreciate your advice.

From the info given, the Swiss Lodge is in the lead. :o

THANKS!

Is Priceline Hong Kong still working ? I remember better deals through that and if you phone them they can tell you which one you will "win". Useful and therefore not a lottery !
