The FIFA World Cup Trophy has arrived in Thailand and will be displayed to the public at ICONSIAM in Bangkok on 24 January 2026, offering football fans a rare opportunity to view the original trophy up close for one day only. The visit is part of the global FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola and marks a high-profile sporting moment ahead of the 2026 tournament.

The trophy landed at Don Mueang International Airport on 23 January 2026, where it was officially welcomed by representatives from Coca-Cola’s regional and Thai operations, alongside figures from Thai football. The arrival underscores Thailand’s inclusion in the worldwide tour celebrating the build-up to the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The tour is organised by the Coca-Cola business group in Thailand, comprising ThaiNamthip Corporation Plc, HaadThip Plc, and Coca-Cola (Thailand) Ltd. The campaign forms part of Coca-Cola’s long-standing global partnership with FIFA and its role as a key supporter of the World Cup.

The official welcome ceremony was attended by Selman Carega, President for ASEAN and South Pacific at The Coca-Cola Company. Also present was Gilberto Silva, the former Brazil international and 2002 World Cup winner, who joined the reception and posed for photographs with the original FIFA World Cup Trophy made of 18-carat gold.

Senior executives from Coca-Cola’s Thai partners also attended the ceremony, including Retima Rakyan, General Manager and Vice President, Franchise Operations, Coca-Cola Thailand. They were joined by Piyush Sharma, Managing Director-designate of ThaiNamthip Corporation Plc, and senior leaders from HaadThip Plc.

Nualphan Lamsam, President of the Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, was also present as a witness to the occasion. Her attendance highlighted the significance of the visit for Thailand’s football community and its connection to the global game.

On Saturday 24 January 2026, the trophy will be exhibited at River Park, G Floor, ICONSIAM. Football fans will be able to view the trophy at close range during the one-day public display.

Amarin reported that organisers said the event aims to deliver a special experience for Thai fans while building anticipation for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola is designed to celebrate the excitement of the tournament and reinforce football’s cultural presence in Thailand.

Oh great just what Thailand needs, a promotion of a high sugar drink.....🙄

It will atrack millions of tourists, that want to see the trophy... and later there will be a show with Lisa too, who will hand the trophy to Trump, while is she is drinking coca cola and eating Buriram balls

Uh, if I were Argentina, I think I'd want to keep the cup at HQ for Argentinians and tourist to pay a small fee to gaze at the hard won prize. But did they have any choice? I thought cup was theirs to with as the wished til next champ crowned....

Hang on a second. Didn’t the fifa present say to DJT that the trophy is only handled by him or the winning team which made it super special for DJT to hold it? Wait until DJT finds that out. 😂😂😂

Where is Gianni Infantino? Oh yes, I forgot. He`s stuck in FattyDonald`s arse😄

Wife's birthday, so I took her to the Mandarin Oriental and had a great view of the display. Totally unexpected.
