4WDs are very common in Thailand, especially in the form of popular models like the Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, and Ford Ranger, which are manufactured in Thailand and widely used across the country. These vehicles are favored for their durability, reliability, and suitability for both urban driving and off-road adventures.

  • Manufacturing Hub: Thailand is a major production center for 4WDs in Southeast Asia, with many Australian and international 4WD models built there.

Toyotas and Mitsubs are 4wd.

They make 4wd. They make a lot more 2wd. Ant the vast majority are what you see on the roads in Thailand.

Most 4wd are produced for the international market. My Mazda BT50 4wd in Australia for example.

The majority you will see in Thailand are 2wd.

A previous 4wd of mine, Toyota, was made in South Africa until it was cheaper to produce in Thailand and Toyota moved production there.

When Thailand becomes too expensive they will move to another country.

End of discussion.

The most common pickup trucks in Thailand are dominated by a few key models, with Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max leading the market. According to recent sales data, the Toyota Hilux Revo and Isuzu D-Max together control over 80% of the pickup truck market, with the D-Max holding the top spot in 2022 and the Hilux close behind.

In all you extensive driving around Thailand, did you use your eyes, and potentially brain, to look at vehicles?

Thought not.

It's really painful to try and discuss anything with you.

Correct.

And the majority are 2 wheel drive vehicles. When I bought my Dmax in 2023 the was NOT ONE 4 WD at the dealership

If you cannot understand that then you are a lost cause.

Quote me the sales data for four wheel drives in the internal Thailand market.

Quite sad but may explain why the majority of you posts are simple one liners.

We feel sorry for you.

This topic makes fun of a real person for doing a job needed for survival. That is not commentary on retirement or hobbies, it's distasteful and says a lot more about the poster than the person being targeted. I learned long ago not to judge anyone for what they need to do to earn a living.
