GISTDA joined a major commercial space exhibition in Beijing, pitching Thailand’s ambitions in the global space economy. Organisers and Thai officials described the appearance as a milestone moment for the long-awaited Thai First Astronaut project. A senior delegate presented on cross-border cooperation in commercial aerospace, drawing interest from more than 25 aerospace organisations. Early-stage discussions reportedly covered areas like high-resolution satellite data, collaboration tied to Thailand’s LandX programme, and other joint initiatives. The event also spotlighted Thailand’s THEOS Constellation concept, envisioned as an 18-satellite network.
