It's very strange, your fixation on travelling around Thailand. I guess most people who travelled, did the bulk of their travelling before settling down. Why this strange obsession with the number of islands and cities in one country?

Each island is different. Southern cities are different from the north. Whats the point of renting a condo and drinking Chang beer and discussing politics daily?

Thailand has roads ranked on the top 10 by motorbikers. Around Nan is really nice. Why bother though? Just discuss Trump from the same spot hey? What a stunning retirement.

Let's look at the assumptions to scottiejohn there.

He sits in one spot doing nothing? Do you live next door to him and see him daily? That also goes for seeing him as a hermit, as you have no idea. You do this constantly to everyone including me, so get off it as it's gotten old.

Why does naming his top 10 Thai cities mean anything? People can travel IF they want to here. It's cheap, and the country isn't very large. And the main things, is that most Thai cities are much the same, as are most villages. the only things that are different here are the beaches and mountains. Much of the mountains you cannot safely walk in because of mines, snakes or other animals, so that leaves looking at them as scenery, which is okay but not like other mountainous regions where you can backpack through. I can name ten Thai cities, major, that I've visited but that is only again a personal thing and not something to brag about.

I don't think scottiejohn moved to Thailand to talk crap about Trump. That's done all over the world by all nationalities and you don't need to move to do it.

Again, he "shouldn't" have visited 12 islands or 100 cities as that's again a personal thing and no one else's business. try thinking about that awhile.

You obviously are a hermit. If you went to 10 different ones you would know. Samet nice beaches and food little to do but relax. Chang has nice boat trips and inland hiking. Kood stunning beaches. Samui nightlife, excellent muay thai and beaches. Phuket great food and great boat trips. Phi Phi stunning but too many tourists. Lanta muslim food, nice beaches. I went in 05, 10 and 22. Trang islands stunning with snorkelling. Emerald cave. Koh pha ngan great motorbiking and stunning beaches. Hippy hang out.
