The UK has a MLAT with the US, meaning the UK authorities (eg Met PoliceSerious Fraud Office, High Court, DPP) can put in a MLAT request for all relevant/unredacted files from the FBI in relation to a case.

The US doesn't really have the equivalent to the Met Police. The head of the Met Police is appointed by the Home Secretary, but can instigate action independent of government.

The desperation of America both to know and not know about their politicians is a trap for those who did business with Epstein as opposed to participated in naughty activities.
