I do not think making prostitution illegal will solve anything, and you will have an illegal marked anyway, and many angry men all over the country who do not get anything. More violence most likely, so prostitution do have its function. The cheap sex tourism do not have a real function for Thailand itself except making Thailand reputation as the biggest whore house.

There is a fine line every country have to deal with. But as it is toady, where selling sex i illegal, but buying is not, is a bit Thai to be honest.

"Selling sex" in Thailand is regulated but not completely illegal. There is nothing illegal about a paid-for arrangement made privately between consenting individuals.
