I live outside any flood zones in this area.

As the climate warms, as you know, atmospheric water vapor increases.

I do hope we do not have another flood while I am alive.

Once per hundred years should be sufficient.

Yet, century-floods are becoming decade floods, or so we are told.

Thunderstorms, by contrast, are completely harmless, and provide happiness.

I suggest you have limited experience of thunderstorms. They can be very dangerous and cause a lot of destruction. Some may spawn tornados.

What an absolute pack of 5h1t3. Start off about a thunderstorm, then onto some book, then God only knows what you are on.....about!

I am not provoking or challenging you in any way. I simply reply as I see fit. But you go on pounding that keyboard as much as you want, it gives some of us a laugh. As for the rain...bring it on a s

It may have helped had you stated exactly where it's raining now. Thailand is a big place and weather can be localised. It's 34C, bright blue skies in Isaan today. Last showers were in November here,

Yes. And as I say, relatively harmless while providing great pleasure.

If we view the world as such a risky place, then we might as well stop sailing, especially compettitive salling.

Think of the Fastnet Race for example.

We do not stop the sport of yachting just because of one bad year, with a bit of wind, do we?

And, anyway, glory in the victory of the boats that did make it through the breeze, that day, when so many lesser vessels went down to their cold underwater graves.

And below, we see the vessels that did not even finish the race, or sank:

But this does not mean we give up on sailing, do we?

Let us take pleasure in T-storms, as they are called in Floriday, despite the minimal risk.

Why?

We will never control the weather, and we will always have these sudden storms that seem to happen out of nowhere.

Since we cannot control them, and should not even if we could,

We might as well sit on our porches under a few tall oak trees,

And watch the rain come down in buckets,

Marveling at the Majesty and Beauty of Nature.

I love the smell of them, after a LONG, dry spell.

Most people gain happiness from a good and sudden thunderstorm.

So many poets have written about this happiness.

It is best to have a well-designed power grid to maximize one's happiness.

Just do not play golf during one of these T-Storms in Floriday.

God knows, for sure what I am talking about:

The first thunderstorm after a very LONG dryspell.

One can smell it coming in the offing.

I know you know.

You are just provoking me to pound more profoundly on my keyboard.

I realize this.

But, no worries, because....

I am up for the challenge.

I have come to the conclusion, this I d 1 0 T is an asylum seeker of a straight jacket, with a spit protection mask. Not seeing its postings of total nonsense would be such a relief.

Since this is not a post about literature I'm not even going to respond to that aspect, but it sure was nice getting a great storm and we sure did need it as our area was so parched. I was hoping it was going to clean up the air a little bit and maybe it did for a day or two, but I'm kind of shocked that still is air is still as funky as it is right now.

I wonder if the current PM is capable of tackling such a complex issue?
