I doubt there is that much interest outside of the Asean Now whinging brigade. usually, the alcohol dependent people are still in bed at that hour. There is little demand to purchase alcohol at 8AM or 9 AM or even 10 AM. If there was a demand, the powerful monopoly of Central and CP which controls much of the convenience star and grocery retail business in Thailand would have asked for the hours to be changed, to allow for more than a 13 hour sales period. What they want, they get.
