United States and Israel Launch Strikes on Iran

Featured Replies

The US has killed innocent civilians. There is a saying in the Middle East, though more Arab than Persian, that says, "Me against my brother; my brother and I against you".

We have to expect some retaliation that results in the death on non-combatant Americans. Iran has sleeper cells everywhere, including such distant places as Pattaya. I will not be surprised if some of these cells take out a few Americans in Patts.

One other thing I have not seen mentioned is that Iran is in the top 5 in the world in terms of hacking ability. They can go after parts of the grid in the US, nuclear power plants, air traffic control systems, banking systems, even the weaponry the US has accumulated in the Gulf.

The longer this goes on, with more strikes in Iran, the greater the likelihood some or most of these things happen.

Bob Gates, who held positions as DCI and SecDef, used to ask after a strike:

"How many terrorists did we create today?"

There is always a reaction. The parents and relatives of the girls killed in the school struck in Mineb are likely angry and will look for revenge.

This war with Iran is not like Venezuela. It will take years to get out of this war and will cost many lives plus billions or trillions of US dollars.

That's not what they seem to have in mind.

It's not a prolonged occupation.

It's not an occupation since there seems to be no plan for boots on the ground. In fact, there seems to be no plan for an end game at all.

And we all know how well bombing campaigns knocking out the leadership of a country without having anything to fill the power vacuum with goes, don't we!thumbsup

There are lies, damn lies, and statistics Trump promises.

Marjorie Taylor Greene hits it on the head:
"We said “No More Foreign Wars, No More Regime Change!” We said it on rally stage after rally stage, speech after speech. Trump, Vance, basically the entire admin campaigned on it and promised to put America FIRST and Make America Great Again.

My generation has been let down, abused, and used by our government our entire adult lives and our children’s generation is literally being abandoned.

Thousands and thousands of Americans from my generation have been killed and injured in never ending pointless foreign wars and we said no more. But we are freeing the Iranian people.

Please.

Yes - that pretty much sums up my own opinion on this entire SNAFU. And I'm speaking as a US veteran - been there, done that. And what did my service to my nation produce? An Anti-War US Vet. Congratulation! When this sh*t-show is over, see how many other veterans follow suit (especially those from the sewage-flooded USS Gerald R. Ford. I've seen that too up-close and personal as well).

Edited to fair use

we keep telling everybody the guy is a pathological liar but some (many) still have a hard time believing it, whom has voted for him has to suck it up now because it will get worse before getting better

Trump has told Iranians to take over.

So will that lead to chaos?

Oh, so that was the plan. And here we were thinking there was no plan, and then the genius president turns around and shows us that we were completely right!🤣

I don't think the Board of Peace is bs or a dead deal.

It's meant to stabilize the middle east.

Iran was a rogue nation. They don't want to play along.

That's how I see it ... could be wrong.

I'm trying to figure out who has more secret Epstein photos of Trump (as leverage) - Putin or Netanyahu.

It's not an argument, it's a statement of a fact.

The Guardian has one of the best reposts of mass media so far..

The Guardian is not objective.

They hate Trump and it's all Trump bad nonsense 24/7.

Portraying him as a reckless gambler is silly stupid journalism. He has a massive real estate empire.

What happened? Nothing out of character. Trump the businessman was always a reckless gambler, whether building casinos in Atlantic City or launching his own ill-fated airline.

Gee you people are so sad.

Taking out the Ayatollah was a good thing. Hopefully the Iranian people will rise up and finish off this evil regime.

Or get subjected to an even worse one stirred up by their reinforced hatred of the the Big Satan (USA)!

I believe the expression is "The Great Satan".

It's high time we give Iran a nickname ...

Baby Satan? Satan Junior?

No. It is high time the adults were back in charge, froggy. "Lord Of The Flies" on a global scale and with nukes was never a good idea.

This ain't Disney - if Iran balkanises it will split into warlord fiefdomes with insane weaponery and knowledge and a desire for revenge. Dubai hasn't seen anything yet.

And rightly so. If UAE allowed US air based to be used for strikes on Iran, then they deserve to be bombed .
