According the the United States foreign policy as promulgated by President Donald Trump, world leaders (heads of sovereign states) and religious leaders are legitimate targets for decapitation (assassination / kidnapping / rendition with extreme prejudice).

I personally don't believe that either world leaders or religious leaders are legitimate targets for decapitation.
Why?
It opens Pandora's Box. After copious amounts of propaganda meant to sway public opinion and to manufacture domestic consent for targeted assassinations, the West has a bad habit of eliminating individuals it deems as a threat to their interests. And yet, that opens the door to foreign interests to follow suit and declaring Western individuals as legitimate targets as well. First heads of state and religious leaders. Next what? CEOs? Run-of-the-mill politicians? Once it starts, it opens a can of worms. I imagine if a foreign state targets the US President that the response might be nuclear. And if the heads of state of Russia or China are targeted, the same should be expected.

And what if the Pope is targeted? The Dali Lama? Leader of the Greek Orthodox Church? Leader of the Russia Orthodox church? The Arch Bishop of Canterbury? All Ayatollahs?
Where's that madness it end? crying

Anyway, it's the ultimate of hypocrisy. A strike on US "enemies" is framed as a strike for freedom and democracy; a strike by US "enemies" would be framed as an act of terror.
Sorry - you can't have it both ways.

So, what say you? Should World Leaders and Religious Leaders Be Legitimate Targets of Assassination?

I vote "No." Your turn - step up to the plate and swing!

Should is somewhat redundant, they simply are, it comes with the territory. Just as construction workers come with a higher rate of workplace fatalities. If you want to have the power to control the masses then that is the risk you take. I don't want or need to have power over people and I no longer work in construction so I consider myself relatively safe, however not safe from world leaders unfortunately.

In the case such as the Ayatollah who has slaughtered thousands upon thousands of innocent people, of course. Or have you conveniently forgotten about Adolf Hitler as many on the left have in this case.

And the Iranians are celebrating and the left is crying, how twisted is that?

Agree vehemently , What you described ,Authoritarianism features a unique look into how one leader, one party can rule by concentrating authority in the hands of a single ruler or a dominant political party, suppressing political parties, civil liberties, and meaningful opposition while maintaining control through repression, propaganda, and the erosion of democratic institutions like independent courts, free media, and fair elections. It sounds so evil , because it is. No wonder why so many Iranians are celebrating in the streets.

Whoever the USA or Israel decides to bump off is fine.

few leaders or politicians, elites or senior officials respect or care for their citizens so yes they forfeit the right to safety and life as they are parasitic oportunistic evil oppressors ....
