UK Visitors Visa.

Featured Replies

Just in case anyone might be interested…….

Went large and applied for the luxury route…..VFS Global, Hyatt Regency.

Arrived 1230 for the biometrics, appointment was at 1300. Only people there.

Offered coffee and biscuits.

1235 shown into the office, shown out of the office 1240…..all done.

Issued with a 650B breakfast voucher valid till June 1.

Passport plus visa arrived via the post eight days later.

The big advantage, having said all that, was the ability to upload all the required documents right up to the day before the appointment.

Will definitely use this route again.

Hope that might help someone.

I didn’t know there was a luxury route

4,200B.........bit steep, but the Hyatt Regency is where we stay in BKK, so very convenient for us.....no queues and they seem to be there to help rather than obstruct....which we have had before.....not so much with VFS, but Worldbridge used to be a nightmare.

No idea what this is about.

Take it steady.....read the title...that helps.....then use a finger to read one word at a time in order (left to right, top to bottom).

If that doesn't work ask your mom to read it to you.

Quite easy to understand really.

OK. I'll have another go.

So precisely on what grounds are VFS permitted to roll out the red carpet treatment for Thais seeking UK visas in conjunction with the Hyatt Regency, while in contrast gleefully treating Brits requiring new passports like dirt in comparison?😡

I recently went with missus to submit biometrics at Dusit Thani in Pattaya.

Was 4,500B and I guess it just saves an all day trip to BKK. We were in and out in 20min.

6 days later, get notification that visa application has been a successful.

As its an eVisa, no need to submit passport.

Then had to go through a long winded process to link the visa to UKCI account before viewing eVisa.

Just not sure what to do next, they seem to be asking to get a share code, is this necessary as she will be just visiting friends?

Oh??? We got the pucker visa glued into her passport.....then was told we could or had to do the eVisa bit as well?

That took quite some effort.

I read the eVisa is if you want to rent a property or attend an education course?????*

Just read up on it....the eVisa totally replaces the "visa in passport" so not sure why we have both???

Still trying to figure out who the visa was for.

No clues in the OP.

A visitor to the UK perhaps?

Not if they have a UK passport.

Why not make it easy and tell us who is getting the visa, what nationality. Or is that on a need to know basis for some reason.

I’m grateful for the OP for reminding members that visa applicants can have their biometric details captured at a posh hotel rather than attend the standard Visa Application Centre.

I think the thread can be closed now, in doing so I’ve also removed a number of bickering posts.
