  • Excellent point. The majority of the politics being discussed is American politics and the majority of the guys discussing it aren't American.

  • I think you'll find most of these guys to be Brits or Aussies. So they're firing off another paragraph about a country they never lived in.

  • According to happiness surveys the least happy people are centreists followed by lefties. Conservatives are the happiest people on the planet. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/23311886.20

It's time for the ASEANNow BMI computation.

Did you do 75 sets of going to the water fountain?  That must have spiked your heart rate to zone 5.

There is no water fountain. Go do a 75 set workout report back to me.

It is ironic that someone who seems to dislike nearly everyone on a forum, where the feeling is clearly mutual, spends nearly all of his waking hours trying to get positive attention from the same people he claims not to like. If that is not a sign of mental illness, I don't know what is.

Sociopathic misanthrope.

I don't hate anyone. You do. You are a negative person. You blame others for your unhappy life. You should take my advice. Happiness does not come from worry.

No, just not an old time waster. Why do old men waste 10 years hating Trump? Wasting their final years. Politics is a game. The media lies non stop.

You're getting too bothered by it.

People are just expressing opinions.

What else do you expect retirees to do? Start a heavy metal band?

Some people like to care for wildlife in their free time.

I wonder if the most negative don't drive or ride a motorbike. Sitting in a condo 7 days a week is pretty boring and does not help with a positive mindset. Their daily routine is 10 to 20 hate spews at Trump or Israel and 20 negative emojis. That is a sad life. I always find the positive people in Thailand are outdoors doing stuff.

Im sure the opposite also exists! ?

Mirror effect is real, and when they hate what they see, they try to project those feelings on to the others.

Just an observation

A bit more positivity from all parts could have helped, but not much activity on the forum if that would happen over the night.

What does that mean?

He didn't run his post through AI?

He is Norge. Sometimes the English does not translate well.

The great thing is that he does not spend his entire day camping on the forum, rambling about politics and vomiting up more nonsense that he somehow imagines makes him sound like an expert about everything, but nothing. In fact, he spends most of his days on the beach enjoying the good life, which is a far better use of time than loudly pretending to be knowledgeable about subjects he clearly does not understand. At least he has the good sense not to advertise his ignorance around the clock.

Even some here who have no excuses, manage to write things that doesnt make any sense at all, so ?

Should I feel guilty, and how does it feel when you continue to mention the same over and over again ? Makes you feel better right ? Im happy for you to be the one who makes you feel better about your self. At least I have one purpose in life.

That's their best since they most likely can't start a hair band.

Maybe when you're 20 years old, it's all fun and games.

But that heavy fast music inspires you to pump like there's no tomorrow, and as an older person, you need to watch out for overdoing it and getting injured.

Better to turn off the music and focus on your body, your breathing ..., anyway.

One reason I hate gyms.

Yes and No. Any foreign policy has a direct, or at least an indirect influence on my monthly pension.

The yearly increase of it, the exchange rate and the continuity.

We're all living in a global society and the decisions made in USA , UK, Europe, China etc. have a direct influence on the world and especially on South East Asia and Thailand.

It seems fair enough to discuss geopolitical politics from every corner of this world about every peanut of this world.

One might question the quality of the content...

That is because it is the US who stuffs up the world.

Not Greenland or Samoa.

I mostly do cables with 10 to 50 reps weights not heavy. I dont do barbells. High risk is squats, flat bench barbell.

I superset lat pulldowns with incline dumbell press. Lots of reps light weights. The back likes lots of reps if not heavy. Think of rowers. I did about 1000 reps on my back yesterday. Normal muscle soreness not bad. A good exercise is lat pulldown at 45 degrees on the smith machine. Alternate between wide grip and narrow grip. Then superset 20 incline presses light weight. Rest 1 minute repeat. Then lower cables to mid level do rows with wide and narrow grip.

Pro body builders do 8 to 12 reps a lot but normal people should do 10 to 50. Build endurance and light weights dont damage your joints like heavy does. Cables are also less strain on them.

Barbells are overrated and more for powerlifters.

Building endurance with 10 to 50 reps is more practical for daily life too as pure strength is rarely needed. We have machines to lift up cars and concrete slabs. Most of the time you never lift anything more than 50kgs in real life. You move a fridge using a trolley.

Most life activities is 0.1kgs to 40kgs. If you can lift 40kgs 50 times you have practical strength. So doing 5 reps at 120 kgs makes no real sense for daily life.

Such a bizarre thing to see.
I don't know many Americans who give a squat about anyone else's Gov. other than to laugh at them

That true:

Many dont give a <deleted> about anything that dont directly effect themselves.

Quite sad-actually :-)

And they also have minor knowlegde on anything outside US, and a deep distrust in US officials and politicans (elected by themselves)

Not a point of much interest. At 85 I take an interest in what's going on in the world, and occasionally express an opinion on events, but I have much else in my life with which to be involved.
