Venezuela Beats US To Become World Champions In Baseball

Featured Replies

Wait, what?? Isn't there something called the World Series played every year? Is that just fake news?

Anyway, can't imagine how absolutely fantastic this must have tasted for the Venezuelans, beating the colonial power who fielded a team of cocksure c***s disliked by all, even by many Americans.

Felicidades to the Venezuelan team, reigning World Champions in basketball!🥳

Viva Venezuela! How big is this win? I'm asking because I know nothing about the game other than the players seem to be wearing pajamas.

I read somewhere that the US fielded a very strong team, so is this like the miracle on ice in reverse?

Is this true? Can anyone who watched the game confirm this? It does fit with what's been written by the US team though.

Congratulations to the Venezuelan baseball team!

But there's an old adage in baseball that on any given day even a last-place team can beat a first-place team.

There's just a low correlation between team quality and the outcome of a single game. That's why, in addition to financial considerations, MLB playoffs and the World Series consist of multiple games. The WBC does not use this format.

Almost makes me believe in god, and that she has a sense of humor.
