I asked AI about any polls in Israel supporting extermination of Palestinians in Gaza and this is what I got.

Key Polls on Extreme Attitudes (2025 Data)

A prominent March 2025 survey of 1,005 Jewish Israelis, conducted by the Geocartography Knowledge Group for Pennsylvania State University professors Tamir Sorek and Shay Hazkani, and published in Haaretz:

•  82% supported the “transfer (expulsion) of residents of the Gaza Strip to other countries” (54% “very supportive”). Support was high even among secular Jews (~70%).

That was the same poll that showed 47% of Israelis support the extermination of every man, woman, and child in Gaza.

What was your ''question''?

The question was, Do you condone what the Israeli government is doing right now?

If most people around the world were asked if Israel wasn't created in the 1940s, would the world be a safer, more peaceful, better place?

Most people would likely say yes.

That indicates that there is a problem.

Problems require solutions.

The story of Samson, biblical Jewish hero was captured by the philistines and brought to Gaza where he was tortured. had his eyes gouged out, made a mockery and was brought to the grand hall saying: saying, “Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands.”

When they stood him among the pillars, Samson said to the servant who held his hand, “Put me where I can feel the pillars that support the temple, so that I may lean against them.”  Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform.  Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.”  Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other,  Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.

In short, if israel will fall, so the rest of their enemies will, and do not forget that israel possess the means for the ultimate weapon. the weapon of judgments' day, for many years now.

It’s a good read but, spoiler alert, he dies in the end.

Why don't you tell that to the Iranians who are bent on Annihilating and destroying israel eh, why don't you?

From my vantage point, it's Israel seeking on "Annihilating and destroying" Iran, Lebanon, Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, and up next - Türkiye and Egypt.

If the US withdrew it's support, it would put them in dire straits, and very isolated. And we might be looking at a failed state.

It would certainly be a wake-up call for Israel's govt if the US withdrew its support and let Israel sink or swim.

I have hopes swimming would be the result but only if Israelis of every stripe can adopt peaceful coexistence. Maybe they can't. Maybe such a move would be an invitation to a pogrom.

As it is, Israel is not 'winning' anything. I honestly can't see what benefit Israel is to the US.

I think Patong is right in that Israeli don't want genocide on the Palestinians. They don't care about Palestinians and just want them out of Gaza and the West Bank, which they consider their territory.

Wow, Steven, you nailed it right down! They want Arabs out, they want the Arab borderlands to 'complete' Israel, and, largely, they really don't care how that happens. To wit, the West Bank, where it's right down to an individual level.

This has been the second component of Zionism since 1897: a homeland for the world's Jews...with no Arabs. You may find my thread "Zionism in practice" informative.

This is absolutely the first time I've heard Samson called a suicide bomber! That's the attitude, you see. I'll die but I'll take as many of them with me as I can.

And that's the right way to live???

In Genesis, Abraham agreed to a covenant of kindness with the Philistines, which was continued by his son, Isaac. When the Israelites got all aggro again, it was the Philistines who forced them to a disarmament pact.

And what was the beef of all those wars between the Israelites and Philistines, anyway. Did they solve anything?

I'm no cartographer but a look at the Wikipedia map shows that the Philistine City is present-day Gaza! Ain't that some irony. Fighting those Philistines for 3 thousand years.

Hoo-boy, them Hatfields & McCoys!

They were willing to in the early days of Jewish migration. Bibi's father's time. That wasn't good enough. They had to form Jewish terrorist militias.

The Arab side who went to war with the new state of Israel right after it was founded and rejected accepting a two state solution,

Dude -- your "history" is simple minded and naive.

Jews bad. Arabs good.

Quite often Israel demonizing fashionistas are doing a racism game in their head.

Oppressing white people -- Jews (but not really white)

Oppressed colored people -- Arabs

They project their own provincial mind set onto a totally different very much more complex conflicy.

The truth is in this conflict both sides have credible narratives.

In that sense it is very different than Russia -- Ukraine (where Russia is guilty of GENOCIDE) where only one side (Ukraine) has a credible narrative.

Back to the genocide comparison for a moment.

Ukraine has never behaved in a genocidal way or ever had genocidal intentions towards Russia.

It's only been one way FROM Russia.

In the case of Israel/Palestine/Iran the genocidal intentions and actions have actully been from both sides.

That makes the Israel conflict more morally ambiguous.

Accepting a holier than thou pompous morality or posting style lecture from the likes of you is a non-starter.

Also saying someone is lying or doing straw man is NOT name calling.

There is no equivalence of the government of Israel and the Nazi Reich.

Those promoting the big lie that there is are propagandists for Jew hating.

Not saying Israel hasn't behaved badly.

Obviously they have.

But equivalent to tbe Nazis not even in the same neighborhood.

Jew haters love to call Jews Nazis

Can't you criticize Israel in a non hateful way?

From the perspective of time since the establishment of Israel, one would hope for more measured, humane, and equal thinking.

What makes this so disturbing is the scale of displacement, the loss of land, and the continued expansion that many see as part of a long-term project of control, regardless of the human cost. To many observers, it looks like a steady process of pushing people aside, taking more territory, and justifying it through history, religion, or security.

What is also troubling is how often criticism of these actions is dismissed too easily, while clear moral condemnation remains too limited. For years, Muslims as a whole have often been pressured to publicly condemn terrorism committed by extremists. Yet when Israeli state violence or abuses are discussed, there often seems to be far less public accountability from those who defend it, and too often the response comes across as denial, arrogance, or moral exceptionalism

I seem to remember another film called Samson vs. Hercules in which Steve Reeves played both leads. If not, there should have been since in my version of Bible that actually happened. And no, I'm not going to disclose any spoilers about who won. What I will say is that no one in their right mind should f### with a demigod.

Steve Reeves played Delilah? Just kidding. That was one of my favourites when I was a kid. Along with Johnny Weismuller's Tarzan. Didn't he become governor of California?

Hm. I have been called a Philistine...

The record on the Philistines shows that they were originally southern European but by the time of the their conflicts with the Jewish state, their DNA was already overwhelmingly Levantine. So there is a definite connection between the Philistines and the Palestinians. No such connections exist for the Jews.

https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.365.6448.17

But DNA for Levantine ancestry tells a different story.

DNA Doesn’t Lie: What Genetic Ancestry Tells Us About the Palestinian Question

https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/dna-doesnt-lie-what-genetic-ancestry-tells-us-about-the-palestinian-question/

DNA evidence shows that 82% of Palestinian DNA ties them to ancient populations in the Levant. The percentage for Jews is about 70%. So also high.

So, any claims based on the respective relevance of ancient ancestry should be moot.
