Please read my comment again. You appear to have missed a bit. I mentioned the incident I remember the most from 80s and 90s.

If you want a 1990s incident, that would be when I was at Selhurst Park watching Wimbledon v Wrexham. A few incidents there too.

Give it up Nick, this is boring. If you expect me to type out the lyrics to a racist chant then you are completely living in a fantasy land.

It was common amongst numerous sets of supporters.

Think what "trigger" rhymes with and use your imagination.

Why are you pretending this didn't exist? What would I have to gain by making it up and fabricating a screenshot? It's quite a thing to accuse someone of.

Nope , you are lying .

There isnt a racist UK football song with the word "N*gger" in it.

There is NOT a football song that starts with the word Trigger and has got N*gger in it .

The reason why you wont type it out is because it doesn't exist

He does that deliberately.

Here's an article about Walter Smith and Everton trying to put an end to racist chants in 2001. It's behind a paywall but here's a screenshot which Nick will no doubt says was fabricated again.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/3018592/Everton-move-to-lose-racist-tag.html

And here's one from the Echo on the same subject, again from 2001, and it includes the Trigger chant Nick says is made up.

https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/ticket-ban-to-silence-racists-3560407

It was used in many grounds by many clubs.

@Nick Carter icp I await your apology for repeatedly claiming I made it up and that I even fabricated a screenshot of a Google search result. It's really one of the most idiotic and pointless exchanges I've had on here. And an outrageous claim against someone.

There most definitely were racist songs and chanting in 80s and 90s. I remember one particular day at Fratton Park when the Portsmouth fans gave Justin Fashanu, a Brighton player at the time, a torrid time.

Was it racist abuse ?

Portsmouth had a Black player playing for them at the time , Vince Hilaire .

Would have looked rather odd with Pomey were dishing out racist abuse when they themselves had a Black player playing for them .

Sure it wasn't just normal non racist abuse ?

The report claims it was briefly sung by a Few Everton fans , it It wasn't common amongst numerous sets of supporters.

It was also immediately clamped down upon with the singers being banned

So that was an apology for saying I made it up and fabricated a Google search result screenshot? Was that what it was? Obviously not man enough to say "sorry, that was a false accusation".

So it seems now you admit it existed even after saying plainly a few minutes ago that no such chant with those words has ever existed.

It was not immediately clamped down on. It was common in the late 80s and early 90s. Even up to the end of the 90s and early 2000's.

I think you're the only person in the world who denies racist chants were common back then.

God you are impossible. It was a screenshot of a Google search and the Gemini summary. Why on earth would I make that up? I was merely commenting that racism was rife in football in the late 80s/early 90s. And it was. I was there. Why the hell would I make that up and then fabricate a search result? Why would I make up a chant that didn't exist and then fabricate a screenshot?

What is wrong with you?

It is an outrageous claim of cheating and lying and you really should retract it.

And again, why would I bother?

No, the AI is making it up. This is called an Hallucination, and is a major issue with the generative AI tool. If you pushed back on the response, something along the lines of "I don't remember that song", it will probably correct itself.

"Trigger" is picked up by the AI as there are specific "trigger offences" contained within the Football Offences Act of 1991.

What AI will do is misconstrue or misrepresent sources. On occasion, I have seen it make up sources. Using the tools are fine, but cross check the sources cited.

Nope, my specific search led me to specific links about the specific chants. I was there on many many occasions when this chant was sung. I have included specific links in a post above one of which even includes the full lyrics.I was just trying to help Nick find it for himself as he wanted me to type out the racist lyrics which is a ludicrous thing to ask.

No hallucination. My experience. Backed by links and reports.

Unacceptable abuse , BUT we are talking about whether racial abuse exists at actual games or not .

Some silly kids posting messages on social media isn't indictive of football fans in general .

Like , a few silly people posting racial abuse means all football fans are racist ?

Racial abuse is unacceptable , but lets keep it in perspective

Thank you.

But @Nick Carter icp still says this is made up, was never a chant, and I fabricated a screenshot of evidence of it, much as you no doubt fabricated yours.

It was a chant. Went on for years until racism at football matches finally became unacceptable.

It wasn't the only chant either but it's the one that stuck with me. And I remember the turning point when people would refuse to join in and tell the chanters to shut the <deleted> up. That would have been early to mid 90s.

Paul Canonville received terrible abuse when he first played for Chelsea in the early 1980's , being Chelsea first black player .

His own fans were giving him racial abuse .

Paved the way for Rudd Gullet and Ashely Cole and Didier Drogba amongst others .

Paul Canonville now has a suite named after him at Stamford Bridge and I ve seen fans personally apologise to him for racially abusing him when he played for Chelsea

Different era back then .

The racial abuse was terrible , thankfully we've all moved on

This my last post on this Rick because you won't accept anything you want to drag the thread along. And still Nick pretends there was no racism in English football even in the face of experience and links and evidence.

Not sure what his issue is or why he wants to pretend racism didn't exist. Anyone who ever went to an English football match in that era will tell you it did. Even accusing me of fabricating a Google search result - and then going silent when someone posting more evidence to support it, including all the lyrics. Weak. And quite pathetic.

You have lost a lot of credibility here.

Then again you deny Israeli genocide or wrong doing so you didn't exactly have tons of credibility in the first place.

An isolated island full of racist White people?

Say it isn't so.

Fun Fact: The British royalty is German.

Any other questions? 😊

Fun Fact. the British Royal Family is English, Scottish, Irish, German, Greek, Danish, French, Dutch, Russian, Belgian, Spanish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish, Romanian, Italian and Austrian.

Fun fact; most English people are not 100% English (effectively 0%). Neither are most Scottish people 100% Scottish (also 0%). Ditto the Irish and Welsh. Ask Tommy Robinson which passport he takes on holiday. Nigel Farage's paternal line is Franco-German, having descended from French refugees from the 1700s, and Germans who arrived off the boat in the 1860s.

But Nigel has a British Passport. He's not German nor French. Similarly, the Royal Family have British passports (except the King, he doesn't have a passport), not German passports. They are not German, anymore than Boris Johnson is a Muslim Turk.

A murderer lied about a racist attack, police initially believed him and mishandled the situation, and a dying victim was wrongly treated as a suspect—but the viral framing exaggerates and politicizes key elements. 🥃

Straw man argument there , I didn't claim there was no racism in football . I even acknowledged there was racism at football in a post above

You told me to give it up because it was boring , now you are complaining that I didn't reply !!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was going way off topic and I thought that if it continued then action would be taken .

You may have gone to a few Everton away games where a few people may have tried to start the chant and no one joining in and that led you to believe the chant was sung at every football league ground .

Seems a few Everton supporters were singing that song , but it wasn't a common football song sung at football grounds as you claimed .

"Stop it, you're boring "

"Why arent you replying"😊

It's not abuse, it is just saying you are obtuse, which you are. Constantly denying my own experiences and the experiences of others.

And calling me a liar and accusing me of fabricating a screen shot isn't abuse?

I put your screenshot into a websearch and it stated it was a fabrication .

Stop calling me a liar Nick, you are making yourself look ridiculous.

Anyway I know my experience of going to football matches across the country weekly back then. You don't. You are clueless.

Oh, and when I put my screenshot in to a search engine it gives me this. So you are, in fact, lying. And if you hit "AI Mode" it'll give you the full lyrics which you desperately, pettily, and stupidly tried to get me to type out here.

And here, 2001-2002 season.

Can we give it a rest now, this must be incredibly boring for everyone else. Reading a completely off-topic sub thread of one man constantly telling another man that his own personal experiences are imagined or deliberately made up and that his evidence is fabricated.

Ridiculous behaviour.
