Voip On Tot?

Hi,

I've seen that ChiangMaiThai story about having problems with Vonage on Hinet ADSL. I'm in the process of switching from CSLoxinfo (no problem with VoIP) to TOT (better price = 1,000 B / month for 1 Mbps). On their website it notes "High speed internet for accessing both the domestic and international websites with an unlimited hours.

-The actual speed depending on the distance and quality of each fixed line.

-This service does not include the online game and net meeting. "

With net meeting being blocked, I wonder if that includes VoIP? Has anyone ever used VoIP over TOT ADSL?

Depends on what kind of VoIP. Skype and others work on Hinet, but it seems CAT is blocking the higher quality services. I don't know about TOT. Let us know.

Well we have TOT broadband and Skype doesn't work on it.

I am on TOT and use Skype to USA OZ and Europe almost daily with no issues. Occasional lag but mostly fine.

 

Edit: I am not on a cable connection though mine is Wi-Net

Skype works fine on TOT Fiber down here in Hat Yai, voice call or video.
