Buying Gym Supplements In Phuket

Featured Replies

I want to buy some protein and a few other gym supplements here. I have looked in th various gyms but man they are overpriced compared to back home.

Is there any where on the island with reasonable prices? Otherwise I will look at getting some sent here from BodyBuilding.com or something.

And I'm not after any gear or anything like that either!

Cheers.

I got some from GNC in Tesco Lotus thanks

Hey,

I just opened a Supplement store in Patong in the same Soi as Patong Gym (Soi Bel Aire)

The high prices compared to back home are due to the Thai FDA (food & Drug Admin) blocking 90% of imported protein and supplements coming into the country..its a costly and lengthy process (up to 2 years) to get one product approved for sale in Thailand...They FDA are slowly approving more products for sale here, but as it stands there is not much variety on products and only a select few brands..Ordering from Overseas will be seized by Thai Customs as its not approved for import, Ive heard you can bring it with you in your luggage from another country just as long as your not searched on the way in.

I have only been open for about a week so im still waiting for some stock to arrive but ive got a decent range of FDA approved protein available. Any questions feel free to email me

Cool, will check it out when I need some more.

If you order from bodybuilding.com, be prepared for your shipment to be held up, get a call from your courier or customs, then you have to fax them your passport and pay for a one-time import license and then pay tax on all your products and then you can receive your shipment but it will be very expensive because of the fees and taxes.

how do your prices compare to gnc at lotus?
